Graphics same on all three platforms?

Hello, new on the forum, huge Mafia fan

I was just wondering if the Mafia II will look graphicaly the same on PC, xbox and PS3?
I plan to buy it for PS3, as i think mu PC can't cope with those awesome graphics, so i wonder will i get the best possible experience with the PS3?

    Thanks..

The graphics of the X360 and PS3 will be almost identical but that doesn't have to be the case for the PC as we don't know if DX10 is supported and you can edit your setting but between the consoles won't be much difference.

Are developers visiting this section? It would be nice if we could get an official word about this..

well i dont really think we need a developer to tell us the answer to this question

i think it's safe to assume that the XBox360/PS3 versions will be pretty much the same (probably sorta like GTA4 is on PS3/XBox360 where there's differences but very minor) while the PC (as usual) will overall look the best but all three will be fairly close though ill bet.

last night i send a question to 2K Elizabeth about the graphics on 3 platform.
Elizabeth said; "We are developing on all platforms, and they should all look about the same! But the PC is getting a lot of love, I wouldn't worry about its quality".

    Thanks Treadstone

I think PS3 has plenty of horse power for Mafia II, and i sure hope it will look like on the screenshots and the same as on (powerfull) PC..

Well to me that reads that the PC version will look better, at least on very hing-end computers.

I wouldn't doub that. I'm sure Mafia II will be using DirectX 10. It's a must these days. Mafia II wants to compete with GTA: IV and all the other good-looking games. I think most of the developers hope that DirectX 10 will be fully immigrated into the gamer's computers. I bet you have seen a few screenshots of Mafia II already and I do not believe this game is running on DirectX 9. If they made that with DirectX 9, well.. I must admit they did a hell of a job.

I actually haven't seen differences between Dx9 and dx10 grafic in games - only as a notice There's implemented DX10 in our game.
Everyone think that if it's processed in the game, it will look better than a game with Dx9, just because of using DX10.
I say no to DX10 untill there's some difference between DX9 and it, until it is used in maximum way. When there's just a reason to implement it in the game.

Isn't PS3 working in OpenGL? So it's doesn't depend on DirectX technology...
