Favourite view for driving in Mafia II. There is a best one?

Simple question: what's your favourite view when driving cars in Mafia II? Would you like to see a new view added to the Mafia II compared to Mafia? For example, inside view?

What do you think about the (left) front wheel view from Mafia?

I would like a dashboard view (inside view), beeing a car and racer enthusiasm, for me, it would add to the feeling of driving a car. And if the game have Head Sensors support (like TDU has) it would be easy to play the game with the inside view.

Imagine driving from inside, and Vito is sticking his arm with a gun out the window and with the Head Sensors you move your head a bit to see what you need to shot, bullets flying all over the cabin, glass shuttering...OMG I wish it would turn out to be like this...

The medium/far chase for me simply because, I always race like that in all games, well not really only race, drive in general, perhaps I should start doing the inside car view just as a change.

Well, theoretically YES, I(we) hope so! I want very much to see in Mafia II the inside view, which wasn't present in Mafia at all, as it's one of the most important views, the most realistic one, then my 2nd favourite. I mean I hope they implement this view and get rid of some useless views, like the wheel view!!!

Personally I wouldn't have nothing against a dashboard view, but I'm afraid if they would make individual dash for every car, as it should be. I know it's not a Godfather game where there were only 3 types (or so) of cars on streets, and it would be hard to make all the dashes. If they would give one type of dash for sedans, one for trucks and one for sportscars , it would be horrible and I wouldn't play with dash view anyway.

Yeah, that's why I'm a little skeptical. It's much more easy to add an useless view (the wheel one) than add the inside view where you have a lot of work to do at the interiors of every carmaque and model, in order to them original.
BTW, does anybody have any idea if 50 represents the number of carmodels in the game or the number of carmodels+models variants?!?!?! I mean if we have 50 different models and every carmodel then has it's own body variants: 4-door, coupe, convertible, 4-door convertible, hardtop, etc.

I think that 50 absolutely different cars which has even own another types (coupé, sedan, ...), that give us something about 100-200 cars and that wouldn't be so easy to process, but as you know Mafia II's been developing for 6 years.

I don't know if you should call it scepticism, but I think that 50 different cars is much enough. And I think the 50 cars more likely means 20-30 original and other evolved on their base (coupé, ...) which gives us number of 50.

The cars will be able to repaint, to make dirty and maybe alterate in some way(change tires... of course the period-ones) which gives us another number of cars.

Well, for this era it is both easier and harder to make more variants of cars. Easier, becouse some types of bodies aren't in use anymore, so they wouldn't have to make it like it was in Mafia I, where Bolt Model B had around 6 or 7 versions. Harder, becouse the ones that are in use, are showing more differences in shapes, and lesser number of body parts can be "copied and pasted" around the new middle part.

I belive in our developers that they made a few body variants for each model. Some, like '48 Tucker, or the '49 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special offered only 1 body type, but the frequently seen on screens '56 Chevrolet Bel-Air had convertible, 2 & 4 door hardtops, 2& 4 door sedans and a station wagon. So what 1 model doesn't require, the other fills well.

I hope if developers implement inside-car view you will be able to see a steering wheel like in TDU, look in a driving or in a wing mirror. But still I personally use a close car view.
I sometimes used that side wheel view cause I liked a spring suspension when I drived on pavements.

The simple answer is.. you cant. Though I would love such a view. I remember them having it in some of the early racing games but few racing game have such a view now I think which is quite sad because if you wanna feel immersed in the driving then thats the view that really is the best one.

As the game is third person (on foot) I like driving in third person also for consistency.

If the game was first person then I'd definitely want a first person 'in car' view, but as it's not I'm happy with the default and it makes the most sense to me.
