Mafia II... happy ending?

Hey, guys, I'm just wondering if Mafia II's ending will be a happy one (or a bad one) and that's why I started this thread.
Also we've read or heard about alternative endings, like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, with a more or less, happy ending, bad ending, false endings. Or how about something like in Mafia, which was the worse ending possible IMO: Tommy in "the end" gets killed, his good pals also dead, plus Tommy broke The Family in a way by robbing that bank so the bad ending from Mafia it's his "fault" too. What do you think?

Actually I'd like to see alternative endings too and the story and most things are already finished, probably they work now more on the tech side of the game rather than the story or implementing stuff.

Being an Xbox player with a pretty limited hard drive, that would not make me very happy. (Of course downloaded content seems to usually already be on the disks, but just with a certain code that is downloaded to unlock them)

Hmmmm...... how about a 2 parts game? We play the first part which will end with big surprise, Vito being shot but we don't know if he'll die or survive and 1 year later 2K Czech will release the 2nd part, which continues from where 1st part left and concentrates on Vito getting back on the business and the action is happening, of course, in the 60s and maybe early 70s, as I said from where the 1st part left. Actually I'm thinking that these 2 parts are stand alone games that are related to each other, just like a game split in 2 parts, only that those 2 parts are like a full game from the length POV.

Alternative endings for me, but I hope they will be like a misterious ending, let the player imagine what happened to Vito, like the ending of The Sopranos tv series.

That way Vito can live in our hearts forever !

i'm skeptic about alternate endings in games... deus ex did it pretty well, but the stalker endings sucked imo (they were way too short).

i don't care if it's good or bad, i'd like to have a long and proper ending in mafia II and no 5sec cut scene...

I think that an alternative ending would be awesome.. and also, how crappy wouldn't it be if the ending was exactly like in the first Mafia? I mean, that's.. come on, a little more imagination there must be inside their heads? ;P Plus, I don't really know but I've been wondering, is this game also gonna be based on the real story or is it just gonna be an improvised story?

If its going to trly be a realistic representation of the mob, with all th killings and double crossings, I dont think things will end very well for ol' Vito.

sry thats not gonna happen... short and makes you feel like all that time was wasted as you have nothing and you cannot free roam.. WASTE!

they had 4 alternative endings but erased them all to choose just one... They said that the testers loved it.. I WANT TO MEET THESE TESTERS... and smack them for choosing this one.. its seriously no longer than 2 mins.. as a matter of fact after the last shootout (i wont go into details) the video is the shortest of all of them i think. then some long credits.. and .. back to the main menu... oh you wanna continue again? well you go right back into the last shootout.. no free roam.. you have to load one of the previous chapters then your progress is erase..L.A.M.E
