well my day has been good and bad.

    The Good:
    • I won a Borderlands Poster on the Borderlands sweepstakes,so has FTrapture(congrats!).
    • I also am proud to say that mari was lucky enough to win the Bandits mask.
    • And i finally finished my plasmi-quik bottle.
    • Also i'm making a real glass eve hypo.

    The Bad:
    • I have confirmed that i'm sick.Yesterday i just felt a little slow, but this morning i found the i have body aches all over and i also have a sore throat and a slight fever.which is most definately the flu or the begining of bronchitis.I really want to go to art today, but i don't know if i could handle the incline i have to walk to get to class.

Oh man judge I hope you get better soon. It really sucks being sick. Btw how'd the Plasmi-quik bottle turn out? Did you alter the cap or just left it? Pics when you get better plz .

Today seemed to go slower than a drip of honey through a straw. I am sooo tired from staying up until 4AM reading a book I WAS suppose to read through the week. Then woke up at 9am and everything hurt. I just felt like rolling over and going back to sleep but ughhhh i managed to drag myself to class. I have to do a group report for music class which bummed me out totally since I HATE group work. God today sucked.

Thanks,i know i'll heal fast, but these next few days are going to be tough especially when i hit full fever.

AS for the bottle it turned out great,i'll be posting pics and a step-by-step guide so you can make one yourself.

And yeah i hate group work too,i'm not anti-social,i just work best on my own.Especially if you are put in the wrong group it really hampers your ideas and slow things down.

Well my day was quite alright, but not as productive as it could have been.

i'm currently working on an college assignment during the half-term hoildays, it's needing to be in on Nov. 2nd, and it's about creating a newsletter (i hate them) talking about the history of consoles and games, and i have a bad tendentcy to over do my work,* this mean i like to fully understand my subject so that i can write fluidly about it and keep it short and sweet, meaning a long time of research that could be time spending, too much research and i have far gone to call of duty again with this one, Six pages of writting about he history of games, the beginning in 1947 to the emergence of Pong in '72 hence i've got loads more to do, research and writing! then i've got to some how fit it on a newsletter!

and i had loads planned to read and watch today on the net, but i got caught up in the forums once again with the trailer and the coming SitS Update, i found myself going from 5 to 9 currently in the UK! i really need to pull back and get down to some work tomorrow...

well i know what to do now thanks to my tutor giving me some info into how to do it properly, so no worries really, but i still really want to know more than what's good of me...is there a proper name for that?

*i destincly remember having one assignment due in and they told me that i hand to trim down it from 2-1 thousend words to just 500. that was my own fault but it really wasn't good as it had to be in at the end of that lesson.

oh and get well soon dear Judge!

i bet you've had the problem of when you've done all this work, pages and pages and it's all relevant to the subject matter, but yet they expect you to horribly rip it apart from something you've sent hours doing and researching and so much lost only to be kept by you, and hope that one day it'll be worth something, as i do.

and wants more troublesome is that i'm working from home, and that's distracting, it's really a matter of commitment then, you have Wieghts in the house to keep you fit, but you never use them, but whenever you go to the Gym, you always stick into the work, your in an environment that pushes you to work, that's why i'd perfer to actually take the bus and head to college, i'd probably get more work done!

and 8 essays .....? good luck with that mate.

EDIT: wow, i'm impressed Judge, well done you, there's something odd about that guy's face, he's too happy.... ~_~ i can image the internet going mad with something like that...

    Wow, that's amazing! Great job!

I framed my rapture record last night. Here's some pics. Sorry for them being kind of blurry. It was also hard to get a picture without the glass reflecting my whole room or myself.

I just did the corner designs quickly with a sharpie, so I figure i'll probably redo them sometime and pick a better background color. I got the corners off of this poster from bioshock.

It was the only poster I could find that had a corner design.

My day was okay, it was really uneventful though -__-

Best part of my day was having sushi, and finding out that I can finally get the Left 4 Dead 2 demo I'm telling my dad to go to Gamestop and get the code for the early demo

I didn't get a deficiency today, so that was good! (I was expecting one in math).

Thanks. It took me longer than I thought it would. I just got a five dollar 8"x10" frame from Michael's, and put a brown piece of construction paper behind the record. It was pretty cheap and easy.

Wow you really have given me ideas.I was actually gonna buy that one that i show a while back,i think it was like $40,but seeing as you made it so thriftily i think i could very well save myself money.I can just buy a $10 at michaels and make a custom border on illustrator and print it at home.hmm *rushes and starts brainstorming*.

Yep, I thought it turned out pretty well for just a few bucks. I thought I'd make the background on the computer, but I didn't have time last night with all my homework. Sometime I'll redo it with some better designs and a chosen color, instead of the only color of construction paper I had.

More on topic, my day so far has been pretty good. I had Math Team after school today. Next week is the first competition of the year. There's also a chess tournament in a few weeks. Chess club only meets once every two weeks and there's almost no one in it this year, so I probably haven't been getting enough practice. Most of the people that were in it last year were seniors, so they're all gone now.
I'm almost done with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes right now. Soon I'll get through MP3: Corruption and I'll have to find something else to play. I don't have any ideas of games to play, so maybe I'll get some new ones.

Wow Judgeofwings and Cohen's Scherzo No. 7 - both the rapture records frame and plami-quik look great!

I looked at the audio diary tutorial thread and made this (spoilers to BS2, just so you know):

You know, every single time I see this picture of andrew ryan, I think of Jon Lovitz. Does anyone else think they look similar? I noticed it the first time I ever played the game, now I notice it every time.

Now I'm thinking of that part in the film Rat Race when he accidentally looks like Hitler.

I simply cannot focus on my homework today. Feels like there's a brick wall seperating me and my work, and every attempt at focusing and doing something productive has ended with me walking aimlessly around the house or looking at the clock.

It's just one of those days.

Ok so here's the guide if you wish to make one:

    1. First you're going to need a bottle of something called POMx,its a anti-oxidant tea you can get at the market,it should look like this: http://pomwonderful.com/products/fil...Tea_Green1.jpg

*flavor doesn't matter since you'll be painting over it.Out of all the bottles i've seen at local stores this is the only one that closely resembles plasmi-quik,but if you find a wider bottle that looks the same then by all means use that one.

2.Next you're going to need Silver and Red Spray Paint.

3.If you plan to drink from this bottle, remove cap and band and place tape around the opening, seal it up so that the paint doesn't taint that area or get inside.

4.Paint the bottle silver and the Cap Red,apply 1 coat per hour until blemishes and text are gone and bottle is to your liking. Also it will seem more genuine if you spray paint the band red as well, although it is optional.Although the paint says it will dry to touch in 1-2hours,i noticed it is still a bit sticky and might get finger prints on the bottle,so instead leave it in a well ventilated area(ideally outside) overnight.

5.Now that it's dry, you'll need to print the label out.Save the label below and print it,but do not fit to page, rather you need to make sure to get this to print out at 4"x2.5".

    http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...-quiklabel.jpg

*The text looks pretty close to whats used on Bioshock huh? Its called "Fashion Victim" and you can get it on Dafont.I did notice that it looks like the 2K team took this text and modified it,i could have completely reproduce the text, but without specifications its useless, nevertheless it looks good.

6.After printing cut it out and glue it on with a glue stick.Yeah it sounds silly, but it's the only glue that doesn't mess with the image and it's stronger than you think.

Also if you have some spray on enamel use it,it may make it look a bit dull, but overall it'll keep you from getting those chemicals on your hands when you're drinking from the bottle.Overall this project should cost less than $25.

Congratulations you now have your own bottle of plasmi-quik!

Also if you guys want to print out that little free sample sign i made just send me a PM and i'll provide you the file. Enjoy!

Thinking about purchasing Windows 7 tomorrow... Do you think the $120 investment would be worth it?

    Well if you ask me…

That's all I have to say about that.

Granted my solution will cost a bit more than $120

If you're a student (in Canada at least) upgrading to windows 7 is only going to cost you $40.

    pc > mac.

In my graphic design class we have only MACs.My teacher was astounded that onlyone student had or knew how to work a mac.He even lectured us on why he thinks macs are better, pretty stupid and desperate move from a Mac fanboy, but what can you do.Although there are feature on the MAC that i do find convenient.I prefer PC,but i can go either way.

I've been raised on Apple Computers, but through school and work have had to learn PCs. I can use both platforms, but Macs are much more intuitive and generally work better (from my experience).

I had a good day today. Bioshocked for a while, cleaned, did work and just watched an episode of the simpsons where Skinner's mum was reading Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead :P

Has anyone ever dreamed that they've gone through their entire next day, only to wake up and realize nothing has actually happened yet? It really sucks.

It all seemed so very real!

Well i'm feeling a bit better,i'm not going to school today, but i will be going back tomorrow, yay!

Although i am a bit exhausted,i woke up at 2am and haven't been able to sleep since then,i was able to get in a 1hr nap around 6am,but i had a bad dream, where one of my friends died.I don't know what thats supposed to mean, but i didn't like it one bit.
