I went to go see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince today. It was good! I can't wait for the next ones! Other than that, not much has been going on it's just freaking hot out here. It's gonna be 104 degrees all week. :/
As of now, I'm gonna go out for sushi with my friend, so I'll be back later. How's everyone else doing so far?

Anyways i'm feeling dismal...I am not a summer person and the heat has been getting to me,i've been feeling nauseous and got a bad headache going. To top it off on the news they said it was going to get hotter all over so cal with high humidity so even though it's going to be 98*F tomorrow it's probably going to feel like 108*F....

I think he means Ontario, Canada. The one in CA is way too hot and sunny (nearing 100 degrees fahrenheit) to be having any rain.

I live up in the mountains. It isn't really hot up here...low 80s for about 5 hours. Then it goes back to the mid 70s or even lows.
And the nice cool, soft breeze caressing your skin and brushing through your hair is very pleasant.

Why is it that when you get 2 old friends together, stupid stuff results? I broke 2 or 3 laws in the span of about 6 hours at my friend's house today (Nothing really serious, though).

Setting off firecrackers and riding an ATV in a huge span of unleased land is fun, by the way.

Also, Pulp Fiction is a very, very different movie.

I can't sleep. I've got about 1 and a half hours in and then my parents alarm went off and all i could hear for like half an hour was "Beep...Beep...Beep...Beep..." etc. So yeah... My days gonna suck because I'll be so tired all day.

It's been a good weekend, but a boring one too. Not much has been going on, just hanging out at home with my friend. Went to a pool party last night for my friend's mom's b-day. Woke up late today so didn't do too much. Gonna fire up the 360 and play some BioShock. How's everyone else's evening so far?

Got to see Half-Blood Prince today. In a few ways it's a step up compared to the other movies... and it's stays somewhat loyal to the book. Although I suggest to anyone who plans to watch the movie that they read the series first! The movie isn't really newbie friendly.
I also wanted to watch Transformers: RotF...but my sister got tired right after one movie. So I took her back home. I always try to watch at least 2 movies so I can get some of my money back (sometimes I'll stay for 3.5 movies).

I've been playing bioshock all weekend,it's funny because no matter how many times i play it i never get tired of it,very few games nowadays have good replay value.

Anyways i was just watching the news today and they over at Cal State Long Beach the students are camping out in front of the chancellor's office as a student protest against raising tuition.Due to economic problems and stuff they want to increase the service fees by 32%! Pretty much meaning a $1000 increase in tuition. It boggles the mind how they can do this,i mean really how do they expect us to pay? I'm really getting scared, although i am going to community college right now it is getting hard; when i applied for financial aid from FAFSA they denied my request despite my dad's unemployment and our income, all they gave me was a voucher that covers $700(covers most of my tuition, but not textbooks).

But it has got me thinking: Why is it that when the government needs to cut money they take from the schools? They constantly stress how "The children are our future" and how education is important, but from the all the cuts they are making to school funding and stuff, they are starting to look a lot more like hypocrites.

Any economic or business majors here who can explain why school funding has been cut?

    It's simple.
So that they don't have to cut their own paychecks. I'm still wondering how we got nearly a $30 billion debt? What were they doing the entire time? How can you just be working in your office, then suddenly tell us that this debt came out of nowhere! That means our state income was negative the entire time. xD

Lol thats exactly what i do in movies too! Rush in with the crowd.

Today i went to Atlantic City with my family and a friend and got totally burned by the scorching sun. My face hurts alot, we lost a bunch of money at the casino and almost got arrested for illegal gambling and under age drinking. All and all it was a pretty fun sunday

After sending like 15 e-mail's back and forth I might finally be going to check out the drums I'm buying tomorrow >.> Problem is the person who I've been E-mailing never gets it until like the next day. So it's a little harder to make plans.

I'm finally going through some of my Japan trip photos. I should really do a proper job in editing them but I'll do that another time. Way too sleepy this entire month. Rough snapshots:

    Street in Gion, Kyoto
Japan style converse I bought & love
    Fushimi Inari Shrine
    Shrine again

The Fushimini Inari Shrine in Kyoto (10,000 gate shrine) -- I took a so many photos in that place. It was beautiful and eerie at the same time. I couldn't believe how huge the place was. We got lost in there but that's half the fun in exploring.

Wow! Those are amazing photos! I hope to go to Japan someday, preferrably Tokyo and Osaka, one of my bestfriends is from Osaka. Thanks for sharing these, though!

As far as my day goes, I'm just waiting for my ride to go home. In the meantime, I'm going through DeviantART while listening to Frank Sinatra radio on Pandora. Hope you guys have a great day.

Sounds like a good day to me, Mari I didn't get to Osaka but I saw quite a bit of Tokyo and Kyoto which are contrasting cities. I love the history Geisha and early Japan, so Kyoto was first on my list. I'm so in love with the place. I was only there for a week but I could spend months in Japan and preferably even live there. I can't speak highly enough about the country and it's people. I hope you get to go.

Thanks guys. I took roughly 3000 photographs so I have a lot to go through. I got some shots of a maiko (!!!) which was a dream. [here]
I still have to edit that and the others which is my favourite part of the process but very tedious. I get too finicky.

My day now = awesome! So excited! I'm getting a custom made sterling silver bracelet made with the coordinates of Rapture engraved on it! Plus there is going to be a glass apple charm dangling of it. It will be symbolic of Eve's Garden, Come Bite the Apple like my icon. I've always loved that image. And yes, I know it's a Gentlemen's club but it's the idea of the forbidden fruit that I like.

I can't wait to get it

Only highlight of the day was testing out my grandma's electric wheelchair. It comes with a basket hanging on the front, headlights, a really loud horn, up to 10 mph speed limit, and a comfy chair. Hopefully she doesn't get too curious about the speed selector while I'm gone... I might have to tear off the button. xD

Oh i envy you so much vitiis(oh wait give me a second, these eyes of mine are always turning green...),I have always wanted to visit Japan, their culture is so interesting.

Last year i got to go to my favorite city in the world,Paris! As well as Madrid,Barcelona,Carcassonne, london, and Zaragoza. It was so fun,i got to go with my french club,we stayed for 2 weeks and had the best time of our life.Plus we spoke both spanish and french very fluently so getting around was no problem, heck we even bartered with a salesman at the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur and got him to lower a really nice handbag for a friend from €15 to €8. And boy did i take a lot of pics!(i took approx. 2000 pics)

    Traveling is so much fun!

Cool,i like the idea of have the symbol of forbidden fruit and forbidden knowledge on your wrist...no body will suspect a thing.
I'm betting that that's costing you a pretty penny or two, post a pic when you get it.It'll be awesome,i just know it.

ha ha i can imagine your grandma running someone over right now....better keep her off the streets.

My day was ok,i got my midterm back, but i got a 61%,of course most of the class scored below 75% so i'm feeling a bit better.Anyways my professor is letting us do a make up quiz where we can make up half the points required to get an A,meaning since i got a 61% i need 39 more points to get 100% so i can make half of that which would be around 18-20pt which will land me a B.I'm going to make sure i study extra hard this week.

You lucky thing! They all sound like ideal places to go and visit. I love traveling also and wish I could do it much more frequently. It's the airfare from Australia to anywhere else in the world which is always a killer.
