game crashes on auto/quik save

Im playing on vista home premium 64bit sp1. Game runs fine but i can only save the game manually from game menu via "esc" key.

If i try to quik save via "F8" key or auto save the game will crash and all my settings will go back to default.

My system is as follows...

Asus M2N32-SLi Deluxe
AMD 6400+ X2 AM2 @3.2ghz BE
4GB Corsair XMS2 ram @ 5-5-5-12 1.9v
BFG 8800 GTS 640mb OC
X-fi Xtremegamer
850w OCZ power supply

All driver are up to date...

cant think of anything else

oh i ran ccleaner and reinstalled the game 4 times im on my last install...
