Game Crashes While Saving and Loading

Well I just got the game a few days ago, and every time I advance to a new level where it needs to load/save it crashes on me. I installed patch 1.1 and it fixed it for the first 2 levels but now it keeps crashing again. Any ideas?

I am running an AMD 64 X2 3800+, 2 gb of ram, and an xfx 8800 gts.

Have you ever installed the Athlon 64 x2 timing fix? (It's on the Bioshock DVD or: Here, called Dual-Core Optimizer). It only applies to A64x2's and only needs to be installed once per Windows install.

Well I installed that AMD update you told me about, but every while it still crashes. Right now it keeps crashing while it is loading Fort Frolic, even in DX9 mode. I don't get why it keeps happening. I have never had this many problems with one game before.
