Trouble with installation on Vista.

PC platform, retail version.

I'm on Vista, dual core 2.4 GHZ processor, 4GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card, running DX10. I try to install the game, and about halfway through, I get this message:

Feature Transfer Error
Feature: DefaultFeature
Component: ContentDir
File: D:/data2.cab
error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

How do I fix it?

CRC errors are read-errors from the physical disc so heres some things you can try:
Check the disc to see if it's scratched at all. Try installing with the disc in a different drive on the same or different computer. Use a cleaning disc on your existing drive.
If there's no obvious damage to the disc then a cleaning disc for the drive would be what I would try first.
