How do they know if you're running an Nvidia card? I've got one, but I don't recall if I've registered it. Are they cross-checking with that?
no, it doesnt tell you, click on the link and there will be a pop up that scans your system, so you should be alright
I just finished installing Steam, but am going to finish installing the game demos tommorow as it will probably take a couple hours for them to download, and i'm planning on going to bed in about twenty minutes... Anyways, thanks for notifying us dacbietazn, I knew having my sweet Nvidia e-Geforce 8600 GT would come in handy at some point in time! I am very happy with the new card, a great improvement over my old one!
I was going to try out Portal: First Slice or whatever, but it is like a 6GB download. We don't have huge download caps. Mine is only 12GB..

ATI users click HERE for Half Life 2: Lost Coast, and Half Life 2: Deathmatch. I'm using a Nvidia graphics accelerator so this doesn't pertain to me, but I just thought I'd let other people that may have a ATI chip know about this.
Correct! It contains 1/3 (11 levels) of the full game.
