I bet he had to go pick up some babes right after the vid ended.
EDIT: Moved to Off-Topic, and pause the vid at 2:13.

wow...that's pretty impressive actually
geek or not, it's guys like that who come up with stuff that makes them the big dollars
Wow that sure is something. I agree with what has been said: it's guys like this who makes the big $$$ in the endlol
neat. It surprises me how 3D the picture suddenly appears as soon as it's reacting to a changing point of view. Pretty interesting idea. Could be actually feasible to things like that instead of these VR-displays you put right in front of your eyes. Those never really worked for me and that head-tracking, while not providing a real 3D image, still has a remarkable effect on the perception of depth.
Of course, using a thing like that in a normal PC gaming situation (sitting in front of your desk) won't give you as much freedom as shown in the video but I think it still would enhance the experience quite a lot, when even small movements of the head affect the perspective on the scene.
I would actually buy a device that does this for the PC, if it comes at the price of a Wiimote, and is supported in some games.
That was super.
Yeah![]()

Pretty neat stuff! I'm a fan of stereoscopic gaming and this video is a excellent taste of it. The only problem with stereoscopic solutions this days are ghosting, artifacts, and clunky drivers but there are many games out there that just play excellent in stereoscopic 3D.
Peace = )
I bought GeForce VR glasses back in the day.
Nobody supported it and it made you ill.
Ah well.
I'm still waiting for the day. The future will be grand.
That was impressive.
I can see how jump/stand/run games for the Wii would benefit greatly, but what about the pc, where you are tied to the mouse and keyboard ( not literally, ....but I might try that this weekend)
I was thinking about that, too. But I still think it would bring great benefit. Just imagine the scene reacting when you slightly tilt or move your head. I've caught myself doing that with really immersive games from time to time anyway. And it would be just awesome if that would affect my perspective on the scene.
Especially if you play on this

LOL!!! I totally did that with the very first Half-Life game. I was (and am) a total wuss, so I would creep through that game, trying to peer around every corner. Caught myself doing the leaning thing dozens of times and LOL'd.![]()
I was all ready to make fun of the video (mainly due to the Kermit the Frog voice), but he actually did a good job. He explained things well, great visuals, and no constant "um" that you hear in every other amateur (and not-so-amateur) tech video.![]()
Yeah. He actually sold it pretty well.
Good quality vid/content. Man knows his stuff.
