    No internet connection

I know you have heard this before, but I don't have an internet connection. Blame Charter and AT&T for not having highspeed out here. But still, I got Bioshock for christmas and would rather not drag my computer down to a friends house and hook it up. Is there someway to install bioshock without an internet connection?

I am pretty sure I know the answer but I might as well ask...

Does the package say anything about activation by phone on it anywhere?

    Using the actual retail version.....no.

The case says: "Important Note: Game requires internet connection for activation."

Do you guys really have to be so rude? He got it as a gift. It's not like he bought it without reading every square inch of the box (which still wouldn't warrant you being rude).

To the OP: Unfortunately, the answer is no. The game was designed to use an Internet connection.

Who was being rude? I read through it several times and I don't see anything that would be considered rude. The OP asked a question followed by a question from BioShockWins, and I answered both questions. I stated that for the retail version there is no way to activate without an internet connection and to answer BioShockWins question (which was "Does the package say anything about activation by phone on it anywhere?") I listed what it said on the box about activation.

Aside from Drakelet acknowledging that it does indeed suck that it has to be that way, there was only one other post at the time (besides yours) from a new member having issues patching. So again, I'm not sure what you thought was rude????
