i don't care...i beat the game using the no-cd patch and felt very unfulfilled due to all the useless troubleshooting i've done over the past 3 months. then for giggles i replaced the good .exe with the original retail .exe, loaded a game save and watched it CtD. fuming, i promptly uninstalled the thing and am giving it to toys for tots, with the no-cd patch included. i'd have sold it cept i don't like having blood money on me. thanks to everyone who tried helping though, really do apprecaite the love.

1) If you don't care about BioShock and have moved on, why are you lingering here?

2) How does popular opinion have anything to do with the patch? Either people will vote and be correct or they'll vote and be wrong. Whoop-de-doo.

3) How is it that people being fed up with ever getting a patch is a good thing? If no one cares anymore, what imputus is there for 2K to release an update? That's the stupidest thing I've read on these boards, and man, I've read a lot of stupid things here.

There are 3 negative options, one implied negative option (the first, implying that the patch won't be out until 2008), and one that is perhaps a little overly optimistic. Because I find it fascinating. I come here about once every other week or so to read the rants and raves and the cookie-cutter replies from 2k. I don't blame Elizabeth personally since she's just a mouth and not the hands but its become a bit of a joke to me. I mean its no where near Duke Nukem Forever in terms of vaporware but then again DNF never accepted money from customers for an obviously unfinished game.

I have no plans to play the game. I'm happy to see a few reviewers retracting their previously high scores in light of the games unplayability. Unlike some games this one doesn't get better with time. It scored high due to a well-timed release. It was a matter of economics that sunk the ship (or downed the airplane). If they game were released now, against COD4, Crysis, UT3, etc it wouldn't garner any attention.

Neutral:
The release is "very soon", that is in early 2008
Don't care, the patch is a lie: i've moved on to Crysis

Positive:
Don't worry: the devs are working hard and it is just a matter of days now

Early 2008 is really not that far away, "Don't care" is about as neutral as you can get, and the 'just a matter of days' is, as you said, optimistic. You're fairly mouthy yourself mate If you're just going to moan then don't post at all!
