I get menu and video, skips in audio and video. also freezes during hacking mini game. no problems when I play it though.

Widows xp media center
ati radeon x1650 pro 512MB
2GB ram
AMD Athlon 64 2.4 GHz
Realtec HD sound card

tried the ati hot fix didn't work

You can try the following:
go to sound menu, disable EAX and Reverb.
make sure you have video drivers that were the latest at the time the game was released.
