Idea for The Darkness 2 (slight spoilers)

Ok here is my idea:

Game opens with the loading screen area (you know where jackie always is alone surrounded by dark). A figure appears out of the darkness of homself but rather than actually of him it is of himself as a child. The child explains that it has been 10 years on earth sense The Darkness claimed him, but there is yet hope if he wants it. Eithier way "They" (remeber from the ending) are setting the stage that he may once more have control of his body.

The scene reopens with Jackie returning to New york in a dark ally, a dark figure approaches him telling him to kill a man inside Trinity Church. Jackie goes there and finds him, when he is about to kill him Jackies great great grandfather remember him) appraoches him once more, telling him he may kill the man and embrace the darkness and all the power of it, or fight it again in hope of salvation and to see his "Light in the Darkness" once more. You then get to choose to kill the man or save him.

If you kill him you become very powerful with the darkness (similar to what is shown in the ending cinematics) His shield is more powerful and his left arm turns into a type of scythe made of the darkness, the other holds a darkness gun that is upgraded throught the game. Also instead of the light just draining your darkness power it physically hurts you

If you choose to fight it you can still wield human weapons but only have a limited control of the darkness (somewhere around where we had in The Darkness 1) but the light doesnt hurt you and such.

Anyways now New york is very much more open as you eithier rampagne across the city on a storyline to gain more power or fight the darkness while trying to preform some other storyline to save your soul and your friends.


So this is my idea on how the Darkness 2 could work, what do you think

my idea

the angelus attacks you in the beginning of game 2 weakening the darkness and giving you back control of jackie.
however the angelus is then attacked by a wave of mysterious creatures that pose a threat to both you and the angelus forcing you to help the angelus or die.

the game itself focusses on the fight against the mysterious creatures and the uneasy alliance with the angelus.
as the story progresses there will be some instances where you and the angelus attempt to kill one another by blocking a vital escape route or by suddenly leaving during a tough fight.
ofcourse you get to play with both the angelus and jackie but 70% of the game is dedicated to jackie.

I too would like to see the Witchblade appear in the game in one form or another. After all....

Please do not read this next part if you don't want to spoil the First Born comic series.

Jackie might be the father of Sara's kid. At least that's what he's thinking at the end of issue 1 after Angelues tried to kill him for "upseting the balance" or something like that. I'll know more when issue 2 is out.
