    Blue-Skin Splicer and Vita Chamber

    1. I bought the first pack of BioShock gamer pics for the Xbox 360. There is a blue-skinned little sister avatar and a blue-skinned splicer avatar. Were these two scraps from the art team's drawing room or is there some other explanation?

    2. I noticed a Vita Chamber just outside of the Andrew Ryan confrontation. You have the ability to activate or de-activate it. I finished the game last night on normal (which I regret. I almost always play single-player games on Hard or Hardest level and BioShock is very deserving. I'll be playing it through again on Hard soon) with this Vita Chamber set to active. When I get there on hard, it will be set inactive. Any of the Cultists have any insight on this?

For (1), I've never seen a blue-skinned little sister, but I think the blue-skinned splicer was an early design for thuggish splicers with electric powers.

I've got that gamerpic on my gamercard (shown below). It's just concept art with a little artistic blue lighting.

    2. Nothing special about that Vita-Chamber. Activate it if you want or not. It makes no known difference to the game whatsoever.

    2. is a story reference. It shows the fact that though Ryan pressed for the Vita Chambers he himself is not comfortable with using them, and has switched his off. So when you kill him, he's dead... or is he?

There are some thuggish splicers in Hesphaestas whose faces seem to be glowing blue and bolts of electricity emit from the pipe they are carrying.
