    To many activations (Steam purchase)

Ive just installed Vista due to a major upgrade and its telling me that ive ran out of activatons, and looking at the revoke tool it doesnt work for the Steam versions!!!

this is total bollocks, ive got a system i can revoke a activation code on, but how can i do this if the revoke tool doesnt work on steam?

Can u just uninstall the steam version from my work PC and it will free one up?

    thankx

No, they haven't fix this yet. It is flawed. Hence all the posts we've been making in "the" thread and the thread about "the" thread. "Hey so this is an older issue Liz?"

Basically you have to call 2k support, who will tell you to speak to steam support who will direct you to securom support who will then direct you to 2k.

In other words. It sucks. They put a flaw in the design because vista/xp chew up 2 activations for 1 install. and the revoke only gives you one back. and then the revoke doesn't work with steam. And then because you bought it off steam you can't scan a copy of your bioshock dvd/manual etc as proof of purchase. I think securom directs you to right click on the game and run something which will suffice with them, and then you email that to them, and then they hopefully give you more activations.

Good luck. I feel sorry for you. It is very very bad on 2k's part to not have issue like this resolved after 2 months, let alone think of using systems that will encounter problems such as this. It's incomprehensible from the customers standpoint as to why they've gone to such draconian measures.

when you uninstall bioshock from steam, it revokes the activation credit automatically.
