    Why so easy?

I finnaly fixed all my technical problems and played though the game and the game is beautiful and i like the motif. But why was this game made soooo easy?? I started the game on hard and i kindof expected the game to be you know hard. Anyway dont get me wrong although the game doesnt nearly live up to the hype except maybe graphically i still thnk its a good game.

Try playing it on the Xbox 360, it's a lot harder with a big ass clumsy thumbstick, makes headshots alot more impossible. You are a PC gamer, right?

    Thumbs up

I also think that it is a bit too easy and too short. Maybe this is a prototype version to test water (trial) before the expansion or sequel. At first I thought that I will spend weeks in playing BS. But it was too easy even play in Medium. Overall as mentioned, the graphics are fantastic. However, there is lack of the interaction with the environment in the game unlike others. There isn't much secrets or hidden passages to be discovered. Forgot to say most of the splicers (or ALL?) are too easy to be killed even with the "so call smart AI"? Don't forget the "****ing" securom thing during the installation of the game.

I've spent between 18 to 24 hours playing Bioshock through for the first time. That's too short for you? Don't play FPSs then. In that genre you can be happy if you get more than 10 hours of gameplay.

Yeah i did play on the PC and i know FPS games are harder control wise with the gamepad, but still the game was made for the PC and XBOX360. I figured they would have tweaked game play for the PC. I even found an autoaim option in the ini file that i turned off before i started playing.

Honestly there wasnt really that much story if you think about it. I dont want to spoil anything here but after the big revelation there really isnt much more intersting plot at least not anymore than other games. I did like the story anyway but the story didnt really live up to the hype in my opinion. Anyway my complaint isnt about the story but about how easy the game is.

And it did seem too short but alot of good games are too short too though. But I think if it was harder it wouldnt have seemed so short.

    Just my opinions.

They failed to tweak the difficulty for mouse and keyboard players. Luckily someone else did. Check out the Balance and Difficulty mod thread, it's stickied now. It's not perfect but it's a damn good job, I just beat the game in that twisted dude's idea of hard mode and it was intence. Highly recomended. It injects some real life into bioshock.

I'm goign to have to disagree with you on the story. The MAIN plot isn't too complicated, but the world is so fleshed out through diaries and settings I could argue that most of the time you are being told a rather inventive and fantastic story..

Yeah i guess they did add alot of depth to the world they created but most of that depth i would classify as environment as opposed to plot. Well anyway maybe im complaining about it too much. Its hard to complain about it with out spoiling anything anyway lol.

I glanced at that mod thing and i though it sounded silly but now that you've endorsed it maybe ill give it a try.
