Gate blocking surgery room?

Okay I am probably just missing something really obvious, but I can't seem to get into the surgery room, where I guess steinman is. After I use the telekinesis to catch the gernade and blow up the blockade, I go around the corner and there is a gate just sitting there. I tried kicking over that wheel chair a corpse was in to hop on it and then over the fence but it doesn't work. See the screen shot. One is the gate and the other is the map showing where I am. I am out of idea so any help would be awesome

That's crazy. That fence was not there went I went after Steinman. And I don't recall having to throw any switches or anything. Hmmmm.

I hope somebody else can be of more help. Sorry.

Yea I saw no mention of this fence in the few guides I looked through

Steinman is normally down there, and he puts up a turret and the gate opens - i think thats what normally happens (havent played the medical bit in a while)

well not stienman but a nitro splicer runs there and hooks up a bot to try and kill you

the splicer hooks up a security bot and it starts shooting and the gate opens

That is Steinman. If its a Nitro Splicer, where does it go?

i remeber walking up to the gate, it opens and a security bot shoots...weird...maybe its cause you forgot to do something in the past?(like visit a crucial room, dunno)...weird

Actually I just restarted the game and it worked fine the second time around so its all good. I have no clue what happened the first time.

How could you not notice thats steinman, hes got the exact same clothes, and hes the only RED Nitro/Leadhead doctor Spilcer in the game

The opening of the gate and the security bot are a scripted event triggered by your presence. I've played that part twice so far. I've never actually laid eyes on Steinman doing it, because both times I've ducked back into that foyer to equip electrobolt.

Yeah it should open soon, a security bot belonging to a nitro splicer comes after you and the gate should open. There is also a gun turret down that corridor.
