    Just a general message

    Hello, 2kgames.....
This game is ridiculous, it hardly works and noone has answers. It took HOW long to develop it? and this is the finished product ....LOL! My system is 2 months old and I cannot run this game without bsod. My friend just bought an alienware rig with sli 8800ultra..yes 2 8800 ultra and CANNOT RUN THIS GAME without the bsod. 2kgames is off my map forever, what a rip off. This is the worst money I have ever spent, and one more thing...with your crappy football game that has old timers because you couldnt get past EA's snug on the market. Why the hell didnt you just make a NCAA college football game for the pc which EA refuses to do and hundreds of thousands have requested it, wouldnt that make more sense? Cornering the market. But not suprisingly 2kgames masterpiece in development wont even play for alot of people, you have stolen everyones money with a game that probably could be outdone by kids going to a graphic design rip off college and your football game is plain...ridiculous too. LOL what is up with you people. I dont want to hear about another workaround because none of them work I have 3 threads talking about my problems with bsod with this stupid game and other people do too, nothing works...your patch will not work...nothing you do works. I will not rejoin the mastery of UBISOFT and go enjoy a freaking game ....gah...

What a mature and well thought out post corywh.

Ok, sarcasm aside WTF are you talking about? Really?

Your having problems with the game, big deal. Do you really think that justifies your childish attitude in the above post?

And if you really "have 3 threads talking about my problems with bsod" as well as this thread...but only 4 messages posted. I can only assume that you have not bothered to follow up on your threads or your yours lying, I can't be bothered to search the forums lookng for your other posts so I will assume that you have not bothered to follow up on your other postings.

If I may ask, how old are you? Judging by the content of your rant I would guess about 13, if your older than your really in trouble.

Bottomw line, seeing as you don't seem to want to do any leg work to try and get the game running I would suggest that you return it to the store and demand a refund.

He has two threads in the forum. This one, and this one. Hey, 2 is almost 3.

    its vista

What you first have to realize is the game isn't giving you the BSOD, the OS is!

This is caused by windows and drivers something the game developers can't fix. A game my stress parts of a driver/os configuration but in the end its an OS/driver problem! You need to rant to MS and Nvidea most likely about your issues. Vista is notoriously buggy and we all know M$ will take years to fix it (SP2 era). If you are running all the latest stuff under the latest OS these are the problems your gonna have. I won't switch to Vista for exactly these reasons for at least another year - its the beta software everyone is talking about! I have run the game perfectly on the latest hardware (ATI) with XP SP2 flawlessly.

uhm... ok..... thats quite a nice sentiment except: He shouldn't have to do any *ahem* 'legwork' for a game thats already been purchased and installed on a machine thats more than capable of running it. Ass. Stop brown-nosing and getting on people's cases for being agitated with not being able to enjoy something they are entitled to as paying patrons. Grow up.

    - one post n done. ain't comin back to read replies. never do. -

ps - I never read private messages sent to my account either, lol, for those of you who've tried.

    - Your mate has an SLI rig with problems.... oooo what a shock

    - A machine running Vista that has problems.... ooo what a shock

    - A technical help forum that is full of folk complaining about problems... oooo what a shock.

Why do I jump on idiots like this, because after spending time at first the Oblivion forums listening to people like this and then the same thing over at the Stalker forums it's just getting old.

Computers suck, Windows based computers suck even more and anyone that buys a game looks at the recommended specs and then automatically assumes it will work without problems is a real idiot and deserves everything they get.

What separates the men from the boys is the folk that compile well thought out technical posts that detail the issues and what system they are running the computer on and then await either a response from someone who can help them, usually a fellow forumite or wait for the first few patches to solve the issue. The boys just sit there moan about it not working and screaming about getting refunds.

Oblivion took two patches to fix and still has bugs almost a year after launch
Stalker took 3 - 4 months and at least 4 patches just to get the multi-core threading running that was promised in the original game.

Bioshocks been out what, a month, if that?

lol, guess what I have read all the replies to fix it problem being none of them work. It sounds like youre more worked up than I ever was. But whatever, this game doesnt work properly, period. Thats really all I was saying and yes I think its irresponsible to publish a game this buggy, if you dont great. If my work was of this quality my family would be collecting food stamps, and most peoples would. Ya know what Im saying? Bioshock is the only game that BSOD so your sentiment that it is my OS which happens to be XP and not Vista is total uneducated BS. The game is causing errors in my drivers function. Im not going to yell at Nvidia for having drivers that work with thousands of games very well with QUALITY and not Bioshock that is totally friggin ridiculous that you would even make that statement. As a matter of fact Nvidia should be yelling at 2k! lol
As far as the other issues I mentioned, if I was on the development team I would think it much more profitable to corner a gaming market with a huge demand ie the football market with a kick ass college title with a kick ass online multiplayer rivalry type thing than some generic fruit loop game that they made that will never give any competition to Madden whatsoever and THEY KNEW IT GOING IN. <snip>
