Take a look at the Elite Soldier Pack

Hey guys,

Today I am happy to give you an ultra-high resolution render that shows off some of the stuff you'll get in the Elite Soldier Pack. I know some of you wanted a better look at what you'll get for pre-ordering, so here it is in all its glory. (for information on what the Elite Soldier Pack is and how to get it, see the official thread.)

From left to right we've got female Hyperion Armor, Reaper Armor, Heavy Carapace Armor, female Hyperion Armor again, and finally of course the original X-COM soldier with flattop haircut in Reaper Armor. Some of those have been color customized, which is part of what the Elite Soldier Pack gets you.

When I first saw this image, I immediately set it as my desktop wallpaper. Predicting that some of you might like to do the same, I went ahead and created versions in the four major aspect ratios to save you the trouble!

Here are the desktop versions:
16:9 (at full retina resolution for those of you with fancy new MBPs)
16:10
4:3 (works for the iPad too)
5:4

Interesting things I see:

HELMETS ! (I may have to admit I am incorrect if this is a representative shot from the game)
--are we to infer that toggle-able Helmets are confirmed as IN ??

Greg.. can you ask them to remove flattop's hair band? Its nothing a little extra gel can't hold (some people are never satisfied, am I ? ;P )

They are togglable as part of the armor customization feature you get in the Elite Soldier Pack. I do not know if every single armor in the game has a helmet though.

I don't mess around when it comes to desktop wallpapers! I hate it when I find a really cool image to use as one, but it's lower than my native res and so I have to scale it up, and so I try to make sure you don't end up in the same boat

I would even have made vertical versions for people with rotated monitors (like me!) but this image just isn't well suited to being that narrow.

2K Greg, are helmets DLC only or do the regular armour in the game get them as well? That wallpaper shows why helmets are a must, you could intimidate a berzerker with ease.

Is this also for xbox preorders the Rep at gamestop could not confirm for xbox and tried to sell me on the Pc collectors addition. are there going to be any limits on what I can and cant customize on my soliders for the xbox in comparrison for the Pc?

I cannot wait. Helmets are the icing on the cake. Now the guy who does not want to wear one gets to be a badass rather than just another sheep jumping over the plasma fence.

This is pretty sweet. Thanks for putting this up 2K Greg. I have all ready pre-ordered a physical copy and paid in full, but this just makes me all the happier for it.

Can you confirm or deny hot pink as a color? I can't wait to field X-Com Opperative Barbie.
