Is there any way to stop the camera tracking to combat?

I'm playing a multiplayer LAN game with my girlfriend, and whenever she gets attacked (or attacks someone) the camera pans over to the combat, which is frustrating when I'm in the middle of making my own moves.

Any way I can stop that?

    Thanks!

There should be an option to skip combat moves made by others, but in Singleplayer it makes a ☺☺☺☺tonne of lag. Not sure about mp.

Exactly, I'm glad they finally separated quick combat and quick movement. However, the options are seriously lacking compared to Civ IV which had combat divided into quick offense and quick defense and a toggle for show enemy moves. There's just so much I want to turn off that the game forces me to sit through.

I can't find that option anywhere - where can I find it?

If there's some nifty way to debug around this, I'd be most grateful for the info - I too play Civ with my GF, and it's killing me being so close to having animated battles in my MP!

The last patch added quick combat and quick movements options for SP and MP. It's in the options -> game options screen on the bottom right. If you turn off combat animations all together I assume it won't jump and follow any combat, but there's no way to separate your combat from friendly and enemy combat like there was in past Civ games.
