Thread: One Suggestion for a Future Patch/expansion/feature/DLC

  1. #1

Exclamation 2kGreg Please look: One Suggestion for a Future Patch/expansion/feature/DLC

Please...PLEASE Bring something like this to Civ 5 without needing the InfoAddict Mod:

And by the way, do all the Civs make contact with each other now or do they stay in their own little parts of the world only dealing with the Civs around them? I've tried 3 Pangaea maps in Future Era and the civs stayed in their little Spheres of Influences. I would LOVE to be able to trade communications too like Civ III/IV....

Are you hearing me out there...I personally, and I'm sure others too, want these features. I use InfoAddict just for the global relations.

You're right I do miss that screen, although most of that info is still in the diplomatic overview tab.

I just like it more that way instead of what we have now. I like seeing the "spreadsheet" of Civs out with the colored lines and this and that. It just makes the game better to me. I thought it might look nice too with the upcoming espionage features as well. I hope it gets implemented somehow

Well it was definitely faster than the current setup that's for sure.

Yes, Civ IV's diplo screen was perfect and info addict does a pretty good job of replicating its usefulness. I really wish they'd either make something like this as part of the base game or import info addict into the code. I usually don't play with mods since I'm one of those achievement hunters.

I don't care about the achieves so much, if the main vanilla game had all of the InfoAddict tools and features, I wouldn't use mods

I posted this thread over at CFC to see what kind of reaction it would get.

Wow, when I see that picture, I just want to close that window. What a mess of lines and such.

I believe you could turn off lines selectively, focus on a particular leader, that sort of thing. It was also less messy in smaller games.

Yes you can see "line specific" things to Civs and depending on how many civs the lines and all the crap will be easier to read. It was something I really liked from Civ III/IV and the infoaddict mod in Civ 5
