    X-Com:EU PS3/360 Mouse&KB Support?

I have a question for the devs:

Given that this was originally on pc, and both the ps3 and 360 have the ability to use mouse and keyboards as input devices; have you given any thought to utilizing that functionality to give console players (who may not have the money for a gaming pc) the opportunity to get the PC experience?

please don't take offense, but i think that might be the strangest request(video gaming wise) i have ever heard. Other than typing your soldiers name what could be the purpose of having a keyboard for a game the devs said doesn't even make use of all the buttons on a controller. I feel safe in assuming u won't get this option

Most game companies today are pretty good at tailoring games appropriately for PC/consoles. I feel like this was a bigger issue 5 years ago.

I imagine the biggest differences will be those that affect all PC/console titles. PCs will have access to player-designed mods and customization options. Consoles will have the guarantee of great graphic and software performace as everything will be specifically tailored to their system (whereas people with older PCs often find certain aspects of performance lacking from their system).

No doubt there will be other differences. Mouse vs Joystick, gridlines vs no gridlines, keyboard vs no keyboard. But as a whole, I think these are minor matters of personal preference.

I don't remember which interview it was. but the interviewer asked (i'm paraphasing) "let's say i am a hardcore pc gamer who says 'Oh another company is dumbing down my pc games for consoles' what would u say to them?" Jake then went on to say no need to worry about that because they didn't even have to use all the console controller buttons.
the video is onthis forum somewhere

jake has said on a few occasions that they have to rework the interface to make using a mouse work as opposed to "steering" the cursor with a controller stick. So there is going to be a mouse/keyboard interface built for pc use... whether they include that on the xbox/ps3 versions and have it optional... wouldn't really expect that.
