Spec ops the line arrived today, seemed to have been waiting forever, first impressions are very good.

Lost Winds on iPad, was free & a really good platform game, thinking about picking up Metal Gear HD for vita tomorrow, couldn't really get on with the 360 version due to the controls, just too clunky so hoping it will be better.

Ugh, tell me about it. Now I see why no one goes to Ravenholm... I put that game down after dying many many times in that level...

Gravity gun + random blade on the ground = victory. Also remember to save CONSTANTLY- I mean, after every little advance, take a second to save. On a slower computer that might be a hassle, but I haven't had any trouble. Guess the last tip I could give is that the crowbar is a one-hit kill on every type of unattached headcrab. I guess if you're not playing anymore that won't be any use to you, but... yeah. Crowbar.

I just escaped a few hours ago and I'm on my way forward. This game feels a lot different from the original but I'm still enjoying it. What really caught my eye were the visuals, especially for the year the game was released they are really good.

Damn. Better late than never I guess. Every gamer should play the Half Life series.

On the bright side, I'll have waited many years less than everyone else for Episode 3.

Well I've finished going through the Assassin's Creed series for like the third time and I still think it's great, the game play the story the visuals, and they have been developing well over the last 4 games, can't wait till 3. Today I finished Just Cause 2 which is fun to piss around in but not quite up to the best games. Tomorrow Bioshock.

The other day I found a few copies of some old games: SimCity 2000: CD Collection, SimCity 3000 Unlimited, and Battlefield 1942: The Complete Collection.

Only one of the three functions correctly, and that's SC3000. BF1942, I didn't realize at the store, has every disc except Disk 1 (OF COURSE!) and SimCity 2000 doesn't work on 64-bit Windows. I tried DOSbox but it immediately melted my brain. I'll try it again later.

At this point I think you'll STILL be waiting for many years, though. Just slightly less many.

I just started the Peer Review DLC with my buddy, since I forgot we hadn't done it. We spent more time trolling each other than we did playing the game. Good times.

Speaking of Peer Review, how do you access it in-game? I found a room in the Hub that sucks you through a tube and takes you to some more levels, but I'm not sure if that's it.

Warship Gunner 2 for PS2 is eating up my time this month. I loaned my PS3 to a buddy while he's in town, so I dusted off my barely-used PS2. Warship Gunner is everything I liked about classic gaming. So much fun. And I've always had a thing for artillery games.

Alright, thanks. I probably won't get to play it, though. Arranging co-op games can be a pain (I'm still only part-way through the original tests) and my ISP has the uncanny ability to freak out and kill my internet connection whenever I try. :-/

Today I put three hours into HL2. It feels longer than the original, I like it. At first I kinda missed Black Mesa, but it's still a great game.

Really enjoying Metal Gear on vita, controls suit a handheld more than a pad, odd but it just works better.

Spec ops keeping me busy but about to hit a drought so going back to old games.

Finished HL2, playing Episode One. I was having fun until it crashed. At least I save every ten seconds.

EDIT: Okay, already finished Episode One. Two had better be longer, it's the last bit of new Half-Life I'll get any time this decade.

Finally had the guts to start Amnesia. It's not nearly as bad (as in, terrifying) as I'd expected.

Yeah, I already finished it. I liked it a lot more than Episode One and I appreciated that it had a bit more significance to the story. What surprised me is that Aperture Science actually has some role in the Half-Life story line, aside from having their ideas stolen by Black Mesa.

Anyway, only an eternity to go until I find out what happens next...

Well, I was going to start a July thread, but someone's added July to my title. (Sorry for being late)

I've been playing TF2 (PC)... Actually, that's about it...

Picked up MLB Front Office Mgr (PS3) for $4 tover the weekend and I plan on spending some time with it, but it's a little... clunky? I really wanted a game where I create and grow my baseball team, but this one is just a little more complicated than I expected... But I'll figure it out.

Played through episode 2 of the Walking Dead - very cool story, I can't see myself going back through these episodes to see what the different choices cause as the gameplay itself isn't something which would make me want to come back to it but worth one playthrough.

Played some Spelunky on Xbox, fun game hard as hell- don't know if I'll try to 100% it like I did Meatboy, tough in a totally different way.

Dusted off Big Bumpin the Burger King game and played with some friends. That game is fun as hell playing with a 3 other buddies locally.

I hope the Black Ops bundle is cheap during the Steam sale, I want it on my PC but I don't want to spend a million dollars on a game I already own (albeit on another platform that isn't my preference). Of course, Activision is notoriously stingy on sales so they'll probably add 50% to the price, ha.

Lots and lots of Killing Floor.

I've had it for two days and already played for 10 hours.

I've been downloading games since yesterday, since I've got a new hard drive. I reinstalled Portal, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Bioshock 2, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. L.A. Noire is currently downloading. Very. Very. Slowly.

I also downloaded Source Filmmaker, which hurts my brain and my computer for some unfortunate reason. It shows my game framerate to be in the 70-100 range, but the Filmmaker itself is getting around twelve.

Valkyria Chronicles 1 & 2. I am also waiting for the fan patch to play 3 in English... In the meantime I am also preparing for X-Com playing UFO Extraterrestrial, Xenonauts (alpha), and Ufo Aftermath.

Played a game of Civ, on the third difficulty level. Went for a Cultural victory this time. Halfway through building the Utopia Project, U.N. voting starts. Greece won with 19 votes, and everyone else lost with only one (their own). Turns out, City-States have a vote as well, and Greece was friends with all of them. Well, the game was becoming a race for nuclear arms anyway, and I was trapped near my capital by France and Arabia (both of which were massive, angry and had uranium). If it'd gone on much longer, boom.

EDIT: Quick question about Fallout 3: does Amata stay in Vault 101 no matter what you do, or did I do something wrong?
