    E3 2012

OK so this is the big one, kind of like the geek super bowl. So what is on your radar? Obviously I am hoping for some Spec Ops, and Infinite news. I also would love to hear some Thief 4 news, which is doubtful since Eidos is pushing Hitman.

Aside from that I am thinking the Tomb Raider looks like it is shaping up very well!

There's not going to be any Infinite news, Ft. When they pushed it back they said they were skipping E3 and gamescom.

Wait, I'm hearing that GTA V won't be shown at E3. If that's so, then there's nothing going on there that really interests me. :/

As for Doom 3 BFG, Joystiq has more details and press info

Tomb Raider was pushed back to March 2013, so who knows what's shown at E3.

There is a FAQ for why they're going for Mature rating. I'll have to find it.

I'm down for Dishonored, AC: III, AC: Liberation, hopefully a final push for Spec Ops: The Line, Borderlands 2, Valve (?! I always get my hopes up this time of the year).

The thing I'm most interested that will actually be making an appearance is the Tomb Raider reboot. After that, though, I'm also interested in checking out the new info on Halo 4, dishonored, and if these rumblings of "next gen" will amount to anything.

Hitman Absolution looks suh-weeeeet, and I've never been into the Tomb Raider games, but I remember footage of the reboot from last year it looked really interesting. Definitely will also be looking at Borderlands 2 (if it's there) and AC 3.

Not actually an incredible amount of stuff like last year. 2011 was amazing for games. Most of the games I REALLY want to see / hear about are not going to be discussed (Infinite, HL3, yadda blah blah).

I have Tomb Raider 1-3 on disc and had finished the first one. Played the demos of TR 4-5, don't have them yet.
Also played TR: Angel of Darkness, Legend, Anniversary, Underworld. Never finished Angel of Darkness, but did finish the other 3.
Guardian of Light is a side game featuring Lara Croft, but not TR. Have yet to finish it.

I also forgot to mention that I'm super excited for Disney Epic Mickey 2. I loved the first game and thought it was criminally underrated (sure the camera was a bit frustrating at times, but it was a great plat former with some of the best motion controls I've ever seen and a gorgeous art style).

I'm excited to see what changes they're making this time around, how they're continuing the story, and how they're going to handle the controls on the PS360.

Would also love to hear anything on Thief 4, the next game in Alan Wake, anything more on Lords of Shadow 2, and basically anything totally unexpected.

Watching this Halo 4 video and trying not to fall asleep.

Supposedly xbox has the "best games out there" on it. We've seen Halo, a new Gears, a new Splinter Cell, a car game, and some sports game. They're in danger of losing this year if they don't show something good soon.

Well that was a let down, only things interesting to me are Gears of War: Judgement, Halo 4, and South Park: The Stick of Truth.

    Bring on Nintendo.

Gears of War: Judgement is worrying me. It's being "assisted" by the studio that made Bulletstorm. I'm playing it right now - whilst the graphics in Bulletstorm are pretty neat, the story, dialogue and voice acting are TERRIBLE. I don't have high hopes for GoW:J.

Bulletstorm was great fun, bored of gears and halo.

Company of heroes 2, Dead Space 3, The last of us and anything new for Vita are what I really want to see more of.

    Been looking at some stuff...

BF3 Premium: $50 for all current and future map packs. For those who pre-ordered the game way back when, that would be a total of $60 without Premium (and $75 for those who didn't). Sounds like a good deal, right? Buy the bundle and save $10-25? Sure, but the fact that they threw in exclusive weapons, camos, double-XP weekends and server queue priority makes the whole thing feel a little dirty, like one of those Pay2Win things people always complain about in free-to-plays (which is generally synonymous with "any new content").

Splinter Cell: Blacklist: Turns out Splinter Cell isn't dead after all. However, I'm pretty sure series protagonist Sam Fisher is on his way there (he's gotta be 80 by now). Most of the screenshots Ubisoft provided show Fisher in broad daylight, which suggests that they are going to stick with Conviction's run-and-gun style and once again make stealth a completely optional gameplay choice for those who still remember the early days of the series. I admit, I'll probably play it and like it, just like I did with Conviction, but it's just not quite Splinter Cell. Here's hoping my predictions are wrong, as they always are.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: Activision took the opportunity to show off their favorite cash cow in the form of a ten-minute gameplay trailer-thing today. As far as I can tell, you play as the protagonist from the original Black Ops, Alex (?) Mason, which is odd given that he was old enough to fight in Vietnam, yet he's still in perfect shape and fighting another war roughly 50 years later. Hmm. Also, Activision is fighting the war on camping yet again by providing players with sniper rifles that can penetrate the support beams of a highway and giving them scopes that can see through walls. Again, hmm. They really should just get it over with and show us the zombies, that's all anyone wants.

As far as I know, Valve and Rockstar have not spoken yet. Please, hurry.

Wrong. You play as his son, Daniel Mason, in 2025. However, it does flash back to Alex to explain why things are the way they are in the future.

I'm vaguely interested in this CoD game. I like that they're changing the "standard" formula a little and making it kind of futuristic. The story won't be any good, which is sad because that's really all I care about in games is a well rounded SP experience, but it looks like a nice change from the standard formula.

Thank goodness, for a moment there they had me worried. Now I have myself worried.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're trying something new, but... it's still CoD, and that's all there really is to say.

Watch dogs looks really impressive, best thing I've seen so far.

Rumours of it being wiiU exclusive.

Watch_Dogs looks too complicated to be Wii U exclusive. They were playing it with a PS3 controller though, weren't they?

Edit: On a side note, 2K are livestreaming starting tomorrow when the con itself opens on their twitch site. http://www.twitch.tv/2K

Didn't see the live stream, v impressive if that was on a PS3, could well be a next next gen title by the looks of it.

Controller had coloured buttons.... Looks a bit odd but not like PS3, my guess would be pad plugged into a PC.

Figures, if they're keeping quiet about platforms I'm hoping it'll be on the next consoles, looks great and made up for the footage of splinter cell looking like a shoot em up

I'm a bit disappointed that the next generation of consoles is looming ahead now, because one of the major reasons I moved over was the current generation's ancient guts. If what I've heard is true, the next Sony console will have a GPU that is a good bit superior to my own.

My computer should be able to hold on for a while, but it's just a question of how long. When consoles leap ahead, so will the games (albeit more slowly).

EDIT: Just saw the "cover" for the upcoming BF3 DLC, Endgame. If that is a horse I see there, I am going to **********.

Well, as i kept being reminded on the Kotaku feed, Epic are revealing the Unreal 4 engine next week. New consoles can't be far behind. My prediction is next E3 is when the reveals will happen.

This generation had to end eventually, and that's a pretty good sign that it's on the way out. Next E3 is probably a good guess. At least the next one will have something spectacular to show, so far this one has been pretty boring. I'm holding out for some surprises over the next few days.

EA's press conference was terrible, Microsoft's was terrible. Xbox really is not what it used to be...

PS3, on the other hand, has a ton of exclusives that I have been drooling over for years now. Time for a switch???

Okay, too many people are talking about Watch Dogs. Time to look it up.

EDIT: DAY ONE PURCHASE. Too bad the protagonist is pretty much exactly my character in the SPO RP. I oughta sue Ubisoft for that, lol.

Almost complete lack of wow factor so far, what I've seen of Sony & MS presentations was pretty bad.

Beyond Two Souls from Heavy Rain devs looks good as does The last of us, new hardware will have to be announced next year to make up for this

Either they're all rubbish or holding back for 2013.

    Watch Dogs - looks sick.

Beyond - looks very cool, love me some Ellen Page.

The Last of Us - I would get this. I thought that had zombies? What was up with the f-bombs?

Last of us only really looks like uncharted with zombies, but naughty dog games ooze quality so is a must have for me don't think they're undead though, more infected with something.

Loved everything on show with PS3 and Wii. In my opinion, Xbox's presentation, much like last year, was awful. I'm not even slightly interested in any of the games that were on show (except maybe Splinter Cell), and another Dance Central? Really? I've noticed that they always seem to be content when talking about new features. Microsoft, E3 is an event to show off new games, hardware and news; unveiling new features on a existing system does not excite us. It's only redeeming factor was that internet was finally coming to the console, but, then again, with a little more time and effort, that could have been done a while ago.

On the other hand, Beyond looks amazing, as well as The Last of Us. It's strange, Sony and Nintendo seem to get better every year, whereas Microsoft has just lost the plot. I seriously expected more.

Nothing I've seen of the wiiU makes me want one, and I'm a sucker for shiny new hardware thought Nintendos Presentation was just as bad as the rest, expected a LOT more when they've actually got a new console to show off. I just can't see the point in that pad and two screens... all it did was a great job of convincing me not to buy one.
