    Large/Giant Aliens

I hope they add a unigue or rare Alien thats a lot bigger then the rest.

    like Boss monsters in game.
nothing too bit.. but say x2 or x3 time the hight of a human and much larger

that would be intresting and harder to face with its alien helpers

Bigger and with some extra health? Fine.
Boss battles? No. Completely against it.

    bigger and better yes.

i did not say to add a boss mob just to add something like boss monster in other games (forgot to add the word orther)

And i think in the 1st XCOM there wasa boss..
during the intro movie there is a mutent sat on a throne and then screams.

but i am happy with no boss. but they will need a leader alien.

Actually if the cyberdisks are as powerful as they said they're going to be (they have some kind of death blossom TPK attack when transformed). I wouldn't mind about four or five of those in an engagement.

Sectopods are supposed to be big now, too.

The only "Boss Battle" I want to see is when I call in sick on October 9th. *Coff, Coff*

There's mention in this article of the Sectopod being about the same size as a house......I just hope it's part of the standard terror missions and not a boss battle as you say.

    LMAO, too true.

I would have no problems seeing bigger aliens that really hand out some extra punishment late game. Something along the megaspawn in Apoc. No boss battles but just a UFO hits the turf every now and then that has that extra surprise in it. You never know until you open the doors

Seems that the aliens come in all different shapes and sizes now, which is a good thing. Some are very big, some are tiny but all seem able to cause problems in their own way. I subscribe to the 'big aliens - yes please, boss battles - absolutely no!'

There was a boss in the original it was a big brain like a hive mind not the Munton commander at the start credits.

Boss? This isn't a boss type game. You had in original, aliens with more than 1 square, the flying discs and the "chompers" forgot the name. In a war, a real war, you don't have boss fights, this what this game's supposed to be, a war against an alien race. Its more realistic, for boss fighs i think you sould look for other game like god of war, dunno.

There was, however, "boss" phases, important missions that you shouldn't lose or the impact should be devastatin, like when a UFO did a infiltration mission, you could lose the country support, or the final phase to blow up the base on mars, cydonia i guess. If you lose it you lose the game, so you should only go when you're really ready. Of course a save game before go helps a lot. I think it should have is reduced save games, like, checkpoints, once per five minutes, so you can't save, shoot, if you miss, load and shoot, if you miss, load and shoot.

How sad do you have to be to keep reloading until you hit a particular shot? That would take all the fun out of the game for me.

At the end of this video there is a alien that I would consider in the Large/Giant range

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jq05CBrsF0

I would put this one down as confirmed.
