All Civ's Warriors look the same

Anyone else bored with no matter what Civ you use the warriors all look the same. I tried making a mod to have the Denmark Warriors look like the barbarians but with less members and a little bigger and stronger but I failed. Too frustrated to keep trying after failing for 3 days straight.

That is one thing that I'd like to see in civ 6 or the next expansion.
But the problem will come with ancient factions and modern units and vice versa.

It would be kind of neat if they had different skins for the units from different regions like they do for the cities. I remember in CivIV the warriors at least had different skins. The "Western" warriors looked kind of like they do now and the "Eastern" ones wore robes or something.

This is probably my number 1 wish for all future Civ content. Unique units are great, unique abilities are even better. But to truly feel like your civ is unique from other civs, they needs to look different as much as possible. As it stands now, aside from unique units, cities with different looking buildings, and color patterns, there are no visual difference between the civs. Adding visual differentiation is the key to immersion and roleplay in Civ.

If the devs don't make this a priority, I hope someone can make a new Civ 5 BAT mod.

Sorry Im new to the forums so i didnt see your thread. I can see it being expensive for the full game but you would think when they put out civ expansion packs. I tried modding and putting the Barbarian warrior skins on my Denmark Warriors but i failed. I know it can be done but im not good enough to do it. Really most civs could be the same but Vikings and Civs like the iriquios could have different skins just to get me into the game a little more.

I agree. They did it to an extent in Civ 4, so they really can, and should do it with Civ 5! I think they can do it a little more extensively too, such as early gunpowder units looking regionally different as well - the Chinese had gunpowder units in actual history, and they looked nothing like the equivalent in Europe, or the Middle East for that matter! It wouldn't be that hard to come up with a look for early gunpowder Native American units either, and that would be cool too.
From the look of the cities and settlers, I'd say they plan on doing this, so we just have to wait - and letting them know we want it done couldn't hurt either.

I'd be even greater if every civ had unique apperences (where it could), like japanese pikemen and musketmen willbe ashigaru and such.

This can be done with mods. Im in the process of making my Viking Warriors look like the Barbarians since they remind me of the Vikings. Im having trouble getting it to work but im being coached by Nutty. I know it can be done and also different skins can be put on whatever units you want but it isnt easy at least for me.
