Should there be skins for Units similar to buildings?

Should there be Arab, European, Asian, Native American, and Mediterranian skins for units?

The reason why I ask is that not all pikemen looked like the pikemen in Civilization 5, same goes for Spearmen, Archers, tanks, knights, warriors, swordsman, longswordsman, horseman, trireme, caravel, musketmen, frigate, lancers, cavalry, and riflemen. (some may or may not be right I dunno)

This bugs me a lot. To be playing as the Japanese yet having European style pikemen instead of Ashigaru, or to be playing as the Chinese yet having European style Musketmen, etc.. Different units for different cultures looked different.

Native American Style: Warrior to Rifleman.
European Style: Already in the game
    Asian Style: Warrior to end
    Arab style: Warrior to end.

Yeah, it's something I've wanted from day one. It got into Civ IV via the 2nd expansion so I think there's hope.

At least the most common units, scout, worker, (settler already has skins), warrior, pikemen, and the standard core units of eras (musketman, rifleman, great war inf, "WW2 inf".

And from world war I & II infantries I'd love for central powers have the german helmet with the spike on top of it, western front nations have similar uniforms and so on. Even though in the game the late era alliances might not go as in history I'd love to see the classic tommy, yank etc. helmets and uniforms.
    It would be sweet that

That sounds totally badass to me. Though I wonder exactly how they'd do all that. Would Germans, Austrians and Ottomans have exclusive central power garb or would the apparel depend on how the game plays out?

Unfortunately, art assets are expensive to create, and adding more models and textures into a game is expensive in terms of memory and performance.

However, they did add some ethnic unit skins in Beyond the Sword for Civ IV, so such a thing might be possible... if there's ever a second expansion.
