A Lychee is an Asian fruit, native to Southeast Asia. It's better eaten Fresh than Canned, as it loses some flavor in the canning process.

East asian fruit. They have a very distinctive flavor, hard to compare to anything else and a bit shocking the first time you try one, but pretty good once you get used to them. I'd compare them to persimmons, except that persimmons really don't get any better. They make great ice cream, and for a little while I was addicted to lychee gummy candy.

And now I'm off to see if I can find Shiav on Battle.net.

Lychees do make good ice cream. They also make a Lychee beer (cider, really) in Taiwan that is very refreshing. I used to use canned lychees to make good smoothies back in North America, but I wouldn't recommend eating them straight from a can. Lychees are also a great fruit to use in foreplay if you peel half of it and use the juicy, slick inside in the right combination with the rough exterior to stimulate the skin. Maybe that's too much information. Are we off topic, yet? How far away is the release date?

Do you have any idea how long the discount is going to last? For instance, will I be able to purchase the expansion on 18th and still get a discount?

Amazing price on amazon, too bad I don't think they deliver in Romania. So steam is the only way
But as long as the game is great the price is irrelevant.

I agree with your sentiment of optimism but not your reasoning. They are adding in huge new portions of gameplay. Whenever you add new features to a game, there's a huge ripple effect that takes place in the coding, leading to an exponential increase in bug potential. Rest assured, the expansion WILL have bugs on release.

That said, I'll still play it and love it while they work on patching it further.

Pre-ordered G&K on play.com for €18,99, that's another 30% reduction over the reduced price on Steam.

Maybe it will, but I don't think the AI(especially diplo) will be worse then how it is now. Some bugs will be appear, especially to the new features, but I don't think major game breaking bugs.

You can pronounce it either LEEchees or LIEchees. In Cantonese, it's LIE CHEE, but in Mandarin it's LEE TZE, so take your pick on the origin. Personally, I and most people I know call them LEEchees.

In the UK most of the adopted Chinese words that go around came via Cantonese speakers (Hong Kong and all that), so we pronounce most things the Cantonese way, including lychee.

Pre-ordered few seconds ago. I'm literally counting days 'till this gets released. Also, took two weeks off from work just after 22nd, so..

Anybody know when we are able to download this in advance?

I know this is going completely off-topic, but can you purchase them in New York?

I'm sure you can seasonally purchase them in any big North American city that has a good Asian community. June would probably be the best month to find them. Head down to Chinatown.

In my humble opinion playing G&K from day 1 will be just as enjoyable as I found playing CiV from day 1. Yes both will have lots of bugs, but one went through, and the other will most likely go through, lots of iterations, which not only fixed bugs, but changed the game entirely. This made the CiV experience like playing about 3 entirely new games since I have owned it. Not a bad thing. I cannot effing wait personally. They look to have put in a sh1t-ton of effort which I will happily reward.
