    Power of Moderators

I know a moderator cleared this up already in another thread but if 2k game forums is connected to 2kgames then how is it no one who monitors these forums can relay anything with some decision making. I don't seriously believe that every moderator on 2kgames is some nobody that looks to close threads or kick people off the forums for saying to much (When moderators close threads, I do think that is COOL AS ELL). One of you moderators or somewhoever that got something to do with these forums can start taking complaints and handing them over to those who can do something about it.

The moderators have said several times that the Civ Rev members have historically been able to "police themselves" so their interaction has been limited. They will take complaints or requests if you message them. If you are referring to in game glitches or cheaters... there will be no more patches for Civ Rev so don't waste your breath.

Its not so easy to do somthing about the sort of complaints we have.
Imagine 2kforums phoning up all their origional civ rev developers getting them back together and getting them to work for a few weeks to wack out a fix to all our complaints, extensive testing to make sure htey havent messed anythign up, then relese it to all the gamers.
And in return for making a not that large group of gamers happy...they get.. er... a couple less angry posts on this forum.. until the next glitch turns up...

Yeah I just dont think the economics add up.

The mods are in no way affiliated with them, they are ''simple'' forum member who got involved more and are here to participate to the forum as any other member, but they are here to apply the rules dictated by 2k.

If you have complaints, you can pass them directly to 2k. As other, have said, complaints about civ rev is of no use. It would be far from rentable to do that now.

You can send them message saying it's the best game ever since Pac-Man and ask for a sequel if you want though

What exactly would you like to be relayed? Team members at Firaxis (the developers of Civ Rev, Civ V, and the upcoming XCOM) do read these forums, even if they're not posting. If you're wanting to know if there will be any future patches, the moderation team couldn't answer that with any certainty. My guess would be that there won't be any additional support for Civ Rev going forward, mainly because it's getting to be a really old game.

What we can do though is hope there's a Civ Rev 2 one day, and that feedback from these forums gets considered during development.

Mystic, thank you.... a true moderator right there you guys and thanks for you guys input svpm, scottie and duke. I just can't stand getting on here and seeing a new complaint about a verified cheat and the developers of Civ Rev hasn't done anything about it. I mean ok, they won't make anymore patches concerning this game but why not a Civ Rev 2 to stop all that has been going on in Civ Rev 1? I mean it really isn't a small group of player playing civ rev.

As I said before (but most people who read this won't understand because they play h2h with same 10 to 20 people everyday.) I see 5 to 10 new player names a day and these are guys checking out online.... let me find out we added the users not online and I'd be seeing 15 to 20 per day. I just think that the developers of this game were pretty lazy in the end and even in their last patch didn't put too much emphasis into the corrections that really needed to be made if they were never going to make a civ rev 2.

the last patch was released about 3 months after the game debuted. expecting them to get it right then would be like expecting hippocrates to have knocked out a cure for cancer. we hadn't even identified the problems in most cases. i still firmly believe the last patch created problems, such as the advisor clash. i don't remember ever seeing it before that. you'll never hear me complain though. i'm probably down to about .02 cents per hour of entertainment. best video game bargain ever.
