    Civ 5 for iPad

Does anyone know if there are plans to bring Civ 5 to the iPad? I researched online this morning, and all I could find were apps that could play the game through your computer. I don't want to do that. It would be cool to have it stand alone on your iPad.

I'm pretty sure iPad's don't have even a fraction of the processing and graphic power to run Civ 5. Maybe an emulated Nintendo DS version of Civ Rev

I don't know..it's pretty sweet, and they do sell Civ Rev for $5.99 in the app store...Some specs for the iPad 3 are in this link:

If the iPad can run Infinity Blade, I'm pretty sure it can run just about anything in terms of graphic and processing power.

Well then the Mac version of Civ 5 should work just fine right?

Except Infinity Blade isn't free-roam, it's basically on rails which makes a huge difference in terms of the graphical/processing power needed to run it and handle the environments.

Check out the Splashtop series of apps for iOS, Android, PC, and Mac. Great, cheap way to remote into your computer that has Civ installed. Played it for a week this way while on vacation.

Also "GotomyPC". They are a sponsor of Penn's Sunday School podcast, so I'm going to plug them here. Same basic thing that steveg700 suggested.

There is a Civ V mobile game. The graphics are not that great though.

Does your computer have to be running Civ 5 to make it work?

The graphics might be lower (and I'm yet to buy an iPad anyway), but this would be cool nonetheless!
