It just rubs me the wrong way, that it's "scaled" badly.

The transformation is simply bad. My first thought when i saw it was "how come it isn't tilted."

Lemme explain. Going from Biped to quadraped, would use arms as second pair of legs. Arms are shorter than legs, so the critter should be tilted either forward or backward, for the transformation from zombie stage to make sense. There's also, the fact that a lot of body-mass suddenly just moves around near instantly.

What i really liked about the original transformations was that they made sense from a purely physiological standpoint, and that it wasn't a huge suspension of disbelief, every time they transformed.

All in all, i like the look. I would just have loved if it made sense, that the quad, evolved from the biped. As it is now, it just looks fake and forced. All this is ofcourse personal oppinion.

Well, by the looks of it, the chrysallid is actually bursting out of the human, not transforming it. So there's an egg inside the victim that grows rapidly and uses the zombie as a cocoon. Its entirely possible for it to be a quadruped then.
I believe there are some species of wasps that do something similar.

Even worse, if that's the case. Then the bodymass from the human doesn't rapidly move, it simply disappears.

Maybe the chrysallid is denser? I wouldn't be surprised if some of the body mass was burned up and consumed during the transformation process, or was used for the carapace.

But yeah, it is strange. The chyrsallid does look a bit smaller, which is a tad odd.

So, if the new Chryssalid is tilted forward it uses the persons arms as front legs and the persons head is transformed in the Chryssalids head. Now, if the Chryssalid is tilted backwards.....

This is done on my request. If they would show all details of what happens with the bodymass I would be sick behind my computer. And it is simply too weird to play a videogame with a bucket next to my chair.
