Computer Crashing Ten Minutes In
I can get about 10 minutes into a game, and then my computer shuts down.
I played Civ 5 less than a year ago, and didn't have any problems, and I haven't changed any hardware since then. I also play games that I assume would be more taxing to my system (ME3, LOL, DA2, P2).
I have all of the video settings as low as they can go.
It crashes in windowed and full screen.
I have run vcredist_x86.exe and DXSetup.exe
I have tried running Steam in compatible mode.
Any ideas?

Just to make sure i get it right.
The computer turns all the way off, and stays off? Is this correct.

That is correct.
I also forgot to mention that I have updated my drivers (ATI Radeon HD 4600).
Thanks.

Stutting off and staying off, is a sign of serious hardware error, generally overheating.
Civ 5 Stresses the CPU, and if your cooling system is failing, it WILL overheat.
Also, if the components are failing, they will "overheat" at lower temps.
Start by cleaning all your cooling systems, and see if that helps

Wow, that worked. So basically, I was an idiot who didn't know how to take care of his computer, and it adversely affected me.
Thank you, Quantum, for fixing my problem and making me less dumb.
