    The Problem with Game Preservation

I read this article about game preservation and the difficulties which occur in trying to save the game's from console generations ago - http://www.1up.com/features/the-prob...h-preservation

It also goes into detail how much work goes in to do HD remakes of classic games. I found it to be an interesting read. I still need to pick up the ICO/SOTC collection, loved SOTC and never played ICO.

Hmmm, interesting. I guess this kinda explains why the MGS HD Collection had so many problems.

You know, this got me thinking. There are only a handful of games that have truly timeless graphics that never really need one of these facelifts. I find LoZ: The Wind Waker is one of them. Jet Set Radio also. Mostly anything with cell-shading I guess. I just love that art.

ICO is sublime, they did a very good job on the remake and SOTC, the best of the HD remakes I've bought so far.
