Release Date Confusion

There are two diferant release dates when trying to pre oreder the game. EB games states September 1st 2012 (01/09/2012). Whereas Amazon insures shipment on December 31, 2012.

No officially release date has been announced yet beyond "late 2012." Retailers will often put up temporary dates for the purposes of collecting pre-orders, but those should not be viewed as official by any means.

Like da boss said one post up, there is no official confirmed release date. If you need to have a date, go for the December 31, 2012 date. It probably will be out sooner, but better prepare for the worst and hope for the best. It's what I do. Ofcourse, if the release slips to 2013, we're both screwed.

It could land anywhere between August and October, that's a good bet. On a Tuesday. Take your pick =D

We'll see what they have to say at E3 for hints on how the games development is progressing.

I've heard '3rd Quarter' and Game Stop says September 1st. I'm really hoping its coming in September at any rate, I'm already freaking out about it to much, lol.

Anyhow, that's what I've heard.

Uh, folks? Until we get a release date from Firaxis / 2K Games, all other dates are speculation. Gamestores make educated guesses, but guesses nonetheless.

Don't put too much stock in pre order dates, OP. A while back, play.com had a preorder date for... Elite IV. Yep. A game that hasn't actually officially been announced and is probably vapourware, yet there it was. My money is firmly on September.
