Unable To Play Civ V MultiPlayer Online or ReLoad a Saved Game File

I have been unable to play Civ V MuliPlayer online via Steam since Monday (May 14).

When playing MultiPlayer online, the game consistantly crashes after 20 - 50 turns (regardless of the number of players -- tested duo, Tiny and Small maps). This is not some random or individual issue; but it is affecting ALL multiplayer games with Steam. This has been confirmed by a number of Civ V player groups including No Quit.

I have called Y2K Tech support at 1-866-219-9839 and they took my information and my name and email address. They promised an email back telling me what they found out.

I also contacted Steam; but, the responded with an email saying that all Tech Support for Civ V is handled by Y2K Tech support.

This only happened after what appears to be the most recent Steam update.

Y2K Tech Support said they would contact Steam to see if this can be fixed.

This is Steam wide and affects all Civ V MultiPlayers.

    This Needs to Be Fixed.

Hope Tech Support sees this again and responds indicating that this issue is being worked on.

This isnt the goal of this forum. Try contacting 2K again, and updating your ticket.

And for the record, this is not a everyone issue.

Everyone I know in groups that play MultiPlayer online Civ V is experiencing this. There are lots of people complaining and unable to play.

And, for the record, what is your information that it is not.

This forum is about providing information to other players and users of Civ V. The fact that this is an issue being experienced by other seems to have been lost on you.

Your respone was arrogant and ill informed and most unappreciated.

Why don't you try being a help instead of a hindrance.

I am experiencing the very same issues. Games are crashing early and no reloads will work.
I have also called y2k who are presently contacting steam on my behalf.
I,m a member of a steam group for civ v play only. I've spoken with at least 200 of our 700+ members all are experiencing same issues.

Any ideas on whats causing this????
    Or how to fix it???

As far as quantums response i find it ridiculous!!!!
If your an admin on this page you should act like one!!!!
Help the people don't deflate there issues based on your arrogant opinion!!
Is there another more civil administrator who can help???

If you read thread you would have read that launching the game is not the issue.
the issue is with disconnects and being able to reload games after a disconnect.

Obviously you have no desire to help. Your intentions seem solely to cause an argument.
We are all lovers of the game of civ. Thread wouldn't have been started if there wasn't an issue because we would all be playing civ.

Anyone who has any information or is willing to help please make a post

Having the same exact problem. Before the May 15th Steam client upgrade no issues. After the May 15th steam client (and the May 17th that was just released) unable to re-join saved multiplayer games

No argument, just pointing out, youre posting in THE WRONG SECTION, and being rude about it when informed.

You HAVE a support ticket, which is the OFFICIAL SUPPORT METHOD, posting here, about an issue that NOT everyone is having, and claiming that everyone is indeed having it, is more than rude, it is disingenuous.

If you believe the issue is outside Civ, like you state, posting on an unofficial support forum, WONT GET YOUR CONSPIRACIES HEARD.

You claiming that we are being rude is completely unacceptable and untrue.

You think asserting that somehow now four different people have reported this and they are part of a conspiracy to do what?

That we are being disengious? No, you are person seeking to frustrate the legitimate concern of Civ V gamers to get their game back up and running like it was just a few days ago.

Please butt out of this and go away and let us discuss this issue which is preventing me and my fellow MultiPlayer Civ 5 folks from playing the game that we so like.

Maybe we will get some more information from Tech Support on this and hopefully a solution.

Quantum please refrain from posting if your not interested in helping. Regardless of where it is posted it is a problem we are facing. If an administrator feels it is in wrong category I'm sure it will be moved. As you are not an administrator I fail to see your interest in this thread other than to ridicule others. Again I'll ask you PLEASE refrain from posting as you aren't helping anyone.

Lets calm down everyone. Let's be respectful here and not get all worked up over a support thread. Also please leave the moderating to the Moderators, if you have concerns report the post.

Valve (Steam) Seems Now To Be Aware Of The Problem

On the Steam Forums (Civ V thread), a representative from Valve has responded by saying:

    Valve by BurtonJ:

"We are investigating a possible Steam issue that would impact games using our peer-to-peer APIs for multiplayer.

I will post an update as soon as I have more information."

That was posted at 11:23 AM today. Hopefully this will help get things resolved.

Civ V MultiPlayer Seems To Be Back Up And Working

There was another Steam Update last night and the Steam Update seems to have fixed the issue that was making MultiPlayer play impossible.

Thanks to everyone who contacted Y2K and Steam to bring this issue to their attention.

    Let the Gaming Begin!

Not so lucky, been playing today and same problem, I was thinking it was me, as everyone kept disconnecting on the same turn, until I read this.
