    Whats the problem

    HELLO ALL

    PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME

    I HAVE THIS MACHINE


    "Titan 8200i Spinosaur" Intel 4.60GHz Quad Core System

    Intel Core i5 2550K 3.40GHz, Intel Z68 Chipset, 8GB DDR3 1600MHz, 500GB HDD, OCZ ZS 750w PSU, DX11 GFX, LG DVD-RW, Onboard Audio, OcUK H2 Flo Extreme Cooler
    Nivida 580 gtx
    500gig drive
    2tb drive
    8gigs of ram
    and my computer slows right down when civilisation 5 gets to big, ie. when playing a huge map with 12 AI players

    Why does it do this.

    As the game progresses and the known map gets larger, more and more data has to be processed by the CPU and then sent to the GPU. It appears with Civ V that the CPU processes data serially so more data simply means more time. Turn times for you might be a bit quicker with an I7 rather than an I5 or if you OC your CPU but it is what it is. You can also speed up your game with fewer units, especially by avoiding automated workers as each unit requires some computing time. Or play a smaller game.
