Steam loads, but not Civ.

So the opening screan says "Install Civilization 5" but when it runs it only installs the worthless Steam client that I don't want and will not install Civ that I do want. How do I actually install Civ and get rid of the scamware?

Tried again and this time an error message was displayed:

Steam.exe (main exception): ERROR: delete of steam.exe failed, Win 32 error 5 "Access is denied."

You have to have Steam if you want to play. Its not scamware but mandatory (if a boxed game look at the box). As part of the set up you have to create a Steam account so need an active internet connection.

If installing from a disk on a system with admin rights and an internet connection the game should just load seamlessly if you follow the prompts.
