    need bioshock 1 exe

Hi, I need the original exe for bioshock 1. I can't install the game the normal way because I don't have the internet at my house nor do I know anyone who does. I do own a legit copy and I am willing to P.M. my game key from the back of the manual. Any help is appreciated.

Internet is required to install Bioshock 1. There is nothing anyone can do for you. The only options you have are to either, 1) get Internet at your house, or 2) bring your computer to another place with Internet just for the installation. Once Bioshock 1 is installed then you do not need Internet anymore, you just need the disc in the drive on launch.

Can't do ether of those. I can't get internet coverage in my area (to my knowledge) and the only place i can access the net is at my library. 2K must have a way to validate an install offline, or start writing one. What about people who can't get the internet at home?

If you can't get Internet somehow then there is no legal way to proceed.

Don't use a cracked exe. In the United States, where this forum is located, that runs afoul of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. You're on your own: who knows how that exe will function - a third party could have done anything to it. Including inserting the canonical "virus."

You really need to get your computer somewhere that has Internet for the installation. That is the best, and only, solution you'll get help with here.

It may be illegal in the u.s. but here in Australia (according to my research) it is legal to use a no cd\dvd crack as long as you own a genuine copy of the game. This is the only way I can play bioshock. Whatever happened to the good old days. Insert game disk, run setup.exe, choose destination, type cd key & play game. Remember those days?

Have you tried to patch your hacked version to 1.1? The patch is Here and you want the "Worldwide Retail." If the patch fails then your hacked version is put together improperly. If it succeeds, well, then see if the crash is fixed. It may be and it may not be.

Ok, a friend gave me his old prepaid usb modem, and when I get paid I will put data on it. Now when I do a proper install of bioshock, how much will it cost me (in data) to complete the install and secure Rom activation?

The download isn't that much, say about 20MB. So very little. Remember to patch it to 1.1 when you've got the initial install done right!

2 questions.1. Will my save's from my cracked 1.0 work with the patched proper install. 2. How stable will the game be.

Don't know for either. Bioshock 1 works on the vast majority of machines but on a small number it doesn't work. You'll have to try it to see if it works on your machine.

You're welcome. Both use SecuROM for their copy-protection. That usually does what is called a "hardware hash." That is basically a "signature" of the current state of the hardware in your machine. If that signature changes then SecuROM will try to re-authorize again with the new signature. Bioshock has unlimited activations now, and Bioshock 2 has a set number - I think it's 15 - where after that number you have to contact Microsoft (yes, them: they are responsible for the Games For Windows Live portion of Bioshock 2) and they will issue you some more activations.

Bioshock 2 will always want to connect to the Internet as it is a Games for Windows Live title. However, if you dig around in it enough you'll find an "offline account" option and using that you shouldn't need Internet. Bioshock 1 requires Internet only on installation for the initial activation. Once both are set up they shouldn't give you too many troubles.
