Yea but its like you dont see any sotf matches anymore where its like 5-7 lvl 50's all have 19 kills and its becomes a race to get in first.I dunno, when I use to come online I would look foward to people like you corp, dmac, fotaine, christ bros, etc. Now you got the new class, its just not the same...
Back then they werent arranged. Its was like you came online and you saw the elites on as apposed to now.Now its like when you see one of the old class its random due to the fact they probably got to the rank they wanted or they quit,or many other reasons.Idk it just doesnt feel the same at all.
I kind of understand. This last week was kind of awful. I've been playing for about 5 or 6 months, I'm not really that good at this game but when I play against some of the more skilled/"elite" players I enjoy it more. They seem more respectful than other players!
Last week was probably the most annoying week I've played, there were a few good games.
Wish I had Xbox live back then!
I haven't really played much Bioshock at all. I have become addicted to Monday Night Combat. Everytime i do jump on Bioshock I can never find a Survival of the Fittest Lobby. And all the other game modes aren't even fun anymore.
Though I admit that another part of me quitting is the fact that everytime i get on bioshock people join my lobbies in hopes of playing against me. Although I feel grateful for getting attention sometimes i just want to be alone in lobbies with Bioshock. It's always been that way in bioshock for me, i usually can't stand playing with other people
I don't know man...if you wanted to play with some of the old players than why did you duck out so fast when Fotaine stepped in on sotf yesterday?...
lmao at ducking out.I have no problem palying fotaine but ill admit that when i do play fotaine Im just like dam it this guys good, and I go off to Civial War to practice a little more to find out my flaws or work on them. You say that like I pull a Robert Hamilton and rage quit, lol.
You did not duck out from my view point, i wouldn't say going to a different game mode after a few matches is ducking out.
Btw nice games yesterday, i see you're still reppin that TK
You are absolutely correct, though as far as i know it, there are only 3 other "clans" in bioshock at the moment
It would have looked like that when we were both 190,you win and I leave the game but that wasnt the case so moving on(lol). The only plasmid thats a challenge to master. It is my fav, lol.Only 3 clans?Well I guess major clans because XxTechnoxX(thats his gamertag) wanted me to join his clan but I declined because if im going to join a clan I would like to learn and actually be part of the clan without the rage if we face off on sotf. The whole clan thing doesnt really work out if there too many lone wolf types in the clan,at least thats what I think.
The good old days are long gone. It's all devolved rapidly.
Im still here!!
I was referring to the newer players, not the veterans who march to their own drumbeat and still actually play the game. The newer players (for the most part) are just trying to copy the loadouts of the vets who beasted their butts as they were ranking up, but most of them are poor reproductions of their heroes. Add in the rampant alt accounts on the ps3, and it's just a cesspool.
nvm. lol at least one of us hasn't changed. well i still have r3d to entertain me as i have for years.
So the fact that the first players had to find out the best strategies (since none were known a the time) and newer players don't because they can already look around and see the strategies being used to learn them makes the new players not as good? That's how every game works. Eventually all the cheapest combos and best strategies are found out and everyone uses them, even new players because they are introduced to them right from the beginning unlike previous players. It doesn't make them any less talented. Sure they aren't as skilled in using the strategies yet but thats just because they only just learned them, where-as older players had plenty of time to tone their skills with them. Give them time and new players will be just as adept as old players. As far as "poor reproductions of their heroes" goes I have no idea what you are talking about lol. I've never met a new player that thought of any older players as their "heroes" but whatever you say
must be awesome up on your high horse
Anyways I made my own loadouts and strategies which consist of 1) set them on fire 2) blow their shet up with grenadesits quite fun!
lol yah astro has my back, say something now "LE POOKS"
Yehhh! He was in chat and said "i'll hop on bio!" XD. Le. Poox.
i was okay with it but finally remembered to post this XD
Let's start a trend of "The good old days when..."!
The good old days when the players were actually good and matches were challenging.
and noone spammed tk/gl and lag wasn't so bad
Let's be honest. No one from the good old days were exactly any better then the current playerbase. It's more of a case some were more terrible then others. Now it's who is less terrible then who. We simply can't match the pasts expectations with today's. Most now look for kill method paired with killing potential. In the past, it was just more for those who can rack up higher kill counts. Kill method, not an issue. 87 kills and you are a boss.
Exactly. The expectations cannot match up. And in the case of who's better, it'd be more obvious the other way, that today's new playerbase isn't better than the one from back then, and in a case of which one's more terrible? No reason to even get me started.
It wasn't really large kill counts that made players good or the greatest. More so a player's capacity to realize that something would dampen the enjoyment of others at your own expense, and choosing not to with something that relies solely on your ability to adapt, focus, and conquer in-game.
Just compare the BioSocks and the Mexican team.
Waaaa? Skill from killz? Actually if a player kills everyone Alot they ARE GOOD, Obviously...im offended....
It's not exactly hard to see the playerbase has gone down in term of skill.
While, The players of yesteryear may of not been greatly better. They were consistently better. When you saw a good player, you knew they'd do decent. Team or not, They'd at LEAST do somewhat well. Nowadays, It's whoever talks enough trash and Boxspam/Pads stats. It's like the whole playerbase got more lazy.. While EB and that was more widely used in the older days, it was more "Cleaner" so to speak. Only the few black sheep would go as far as the players of now.
That's how I see it, anyway. With every new 50 I see, It's slightly sad seeing how much they don't try.
It's bads, Vs Less bads.
Perfect example, One team of douches and another of douches who only used douche things on other douches.![]()
