I suppose it depends on your definition of "well enough".

Maintaining a forum is a lot of work. And it was my understanding that the IG forum was a custom build, which is why it took a relatively long time to iron out bugs (some of which we never licked, like edits messing up the formatting of posts). I assume by "the rest of the site" you mean the blogs? I'm no software guru, but I assume those are much smaller and therefore easier to take care of. I do know they ran on a separate system from the forums.
