Thread: Posters

Does anyone know if all the posters I have seen in the backgrounds from the cons they have been at are available anywhere? I have seen all sorts of cool ones on g-4 tv and living in Wisconsin my chances to get to a convention to actually get one is very limited to non-existent. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Could you be more specific?

I'm aware of at least four posters given out by Irrational at various conventions (two old-timey posters about the Battle of Columbia, a long form propaganda lithograph about Songbird, and a beautiful Electronic Gaming Monthly cover showing Booker and Elizabeth). Plus, other sources like Brady Games and Gamestop have made their own posters.

The reason I ask for specifics is because you mentioned seeing posters in the background. When Irrational does interviews, particularly from their offices, they have posters behind them that have not been made available to the public. One example is the Ralston Reciprocating Repeater poster.

Your best bet is to keep following this site and the related Twitter feeds for news of the Irrational Games store. Details are slim, but it was announced some time ago that Irrational was hoping to open a store where fans could buy BioShock Infinite merchandise. The only item that has been mentioned is the Murder of Crows vigor bottle originally given to the press. Whether that will still be offered is anyone's guess, but I assume posters are pretty much a given if the store opens.

The Game Informer double-sided poster sold by Gamestop still appears to be in stock:

That is the only poster I know of that is for sale that can be mentioned here. Advertising items is prohibited by the forum rules, but this is an exception as it is a licensed product and is only sold through one site (so we aren't playing favorites by mentioned it over some other retailer).

you could easily just do what i do. get some card stock paper, find a detailed picture of the poster you want on the internet, size the poster to the size it would be in real life using something like microsoft word, and then print it out. of course, this does take a lot of ink though! but if you do it correctly, they should look just as good as something you would get at a con.

Thanks for the responses. The 2 that I saw in particular that I wanted was the Murder of Crows poster and the Rolston Reciprocating Repeater poster. I know the RRR was on the back of an interview on X-play and the other could be seen at all the conventions. If they sell these in large poster formats or even 8 X17 I would gladly invest into either.
