A long time ago when I was replaying Bioshock 2 I found the sunken plane which Jack crashed into the sea. It's in the first level in the underwater parts. I'm amazed that I had never heard of it before although I'm a huge Bioshock enthusiastic.

Is it a widely known easter egg? Have I really missed all the bricksh**ting?

I certainly ☺☺☺☺ bricks when I saw it on my first playthrough. When you reach rank 40 in the multiplayer you can go to your apartment pause menu and you get an epilogue were jacks plane crashes into your apartment and Ryan orders everyone to kill the intruder. Thanks for posting!

I missed that one. A more obvious one is a worship painting of the plane crash in BS2 (I forrget where it was that Lambs cultists had this one of several of that type)

I guess I will use the cheats to look around more through all the levels like I did for BS1.

Its a great easter egg, especially seeing the plane around the same trail around the first level.

Yeah, I Iiked that part, too. Made me almost thought the plane was going to break through the glass and flood me inside my apartment.

There is also a easter egg about Jack where some splicers talk about him just after you get the telekinesis plasmid.

Not sure if its technically 'an Easter Egg' if its actually from the plot line

Seeing a Cacodemon from Doom floating around out in the water somewhere would be a real Easter Egg.

Well it refers back to events to the first game. And since the plots of the first and second are barely related I'd call it an eater egg.

Also, seeing a cacodemon would be pretty great. Although it would be such an immersion breaker.

While it pains me to say I agree with anything the watchman says. I wouldn't consider the plane or painting/murals as Easter Eggs, then are the Andrew Ryan audio diaries Easter Eggs too? Their part of the setting of the world even if the plane crash took place in the first game, it makes sense to see the plane wreckage as that has happened, it is cool they did that as they didn't have too.

When I think of an Easter Egg, its pulling something out of the universe/setting of the game into the game. Like in the game Rage when they put Tuco's teeth from Breaking Bad - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H90u7CTlebk

For me, it really was a surprise the first time seeing it. A great start off for that level.

Are you talking about right after the big sister jumps across the big window and breaks it open? If I remember correctly you can look up and see plane pieces on a rock somewhere out there.

There is also a worship painting (plane tail in the flaming ocean) and 'shrine' in the entryway in Sirens Alley
