So as of today the beta for the new tribes game, Tribes : Ascend, is released for people who preordered the game. I think, based on what I've read, that it's going to be free to play, but by paying $30 you get access to the beta and VIP status and some other things. I'm considering getting it because Tribes looks like a lot of fun but I don't know if I will be able to do well at all... I'm trying out Global Agenda at the insistence of my friend. I'm really excited for it but I am still on the fence about getting it.

We've had a Global Agenda account for quite some time, and I got a newsletter to register for the beta. So I registered, but did not get in. So I thought it was the only way to get in. How do you know not all in there didn't preorder?

I know this is a bit late but the beta is now public if anyone wants to play. I'm wondering how some of the hardcore Tribes fans thinks that this compares to Vengance.
