Thread: Irrational PAX Stories!

  1. #1

Did you go to the booth? Did you check out a panel? Have a smart looking picture with an Irrational staffer? Share stories, pics, and anything else about IG and PAX here!

40 views and no replies? Did these forums have a poor showing at PAX? I know that I was unable to go but was hoping for a few stories.

Alright let's also open this thread up to thoughts on what happened at PAX even if you were not there.

After watching the panel I was really impressed with the depth that the voiuce actors are putting into their roles. What do you all think of how the actors found their motivation?

I'd like to hear some stories as well but I think the only person from the forums I know who went was Japester. Work and being on the wrong side of the country stopped myself and I'm sure a few others. As far as the Bioshock Infinite panel can check out this thread for some discussion which has taken place - http://irrationalgames.com/community...x-prime-panel.

I can't be the only person who went, can I???

I have many stories to tell, but I'm still recovering from the return trip (I just got back yesterday).

And no disrespect to katherine, but we try to avoid people creating "squatter" threads. In effect, reserving a topic without having content (or a specific question) to start it with. It hasn't been an issue recently, which is great, but we do have to be consistent. If someone wants to write up their experiences, it would be best if they started their own thread, IMHO. And then people can add to it.

And although I would have gladly taken a picture with either John or Sarah, the two IG staffers I recognized, I hold to my previous comments about IG giving off that intimidating "gang" vibe. Snapping a photo with either of them might have resulted in them decking me, causing me to lose precious time at PAX while regaining consciousness. (In reality, they--and the other staffers I met for the first time--were the nicest, coolest folks you could imagine.)

@Japester Glad that you had a good time! Not really trying to start a 'squatter thread' as much as provide a streamlined place for PAX stories and reports as I expected a slew of threads to pop up, obviously I miscalculated and there would be no thread onslaught and thus this thread did seem to clutter rather than add to the quality of the forums. My theory was to create a thread like the Cosplay thread, just a place where people knew to post about PAX. My bad

Nah, I totally see what you were going for. It's cool.

Just don't want to seem like I'm playing favorites.

No worries Japester! So other than deciding not to photobomb with IG staffers did you spot anything neat at PAX?

Still really impressed by the panel, wish it had been longer of course.

Getting into the expo hall a couple of hours prior to the public each day was the most interesting thing for me. I have a few short videos that I hope to post soon, just so people can see what the actual floor looks like (rather than a sea of heads or backs). LOL

Would've loved to go but life/money/time/(insert other excuse here) stopped me...

@japester... let us know when you post 'em

Hahahahaha Can I just say that I am reveling in this comment? I'll be practicing my "tough guy" strut for days after reading this. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go beat someone up and take their lunch money.

mean while the photos I was able to snag can be found in this post http://irrationalgames.com/insider/i...-prime-2011-2/ or in the Irrational flickr.

The actual 21-year-old tight ending won????t manage to responsibility this breeze for this latest misfortune. American footbal squads yakees hats may have looked prior her weak 45 instances thinking about really agitates involving 20-30 mph had a negative impact on their Seasoned Day time effectiveness. Nevertheless teams won????t click beyond that hottest whack.
