Hey Irrational community! For those of you who went to Pax 2011, which i'm sure was a fair amount, what was your favorite thing about it? The games, cosplayers, the Irrational party? Tell us about it!

Would it be too broad and wide to say: "EVERYTHING" ?? Honestly it was an overload of enjoyment in several ways... The only way I can accurately describe how much fun the convention was is to make a list.
Tippity-Top Ten Favorite Things:
1. An invite to the Irrational Games Party
2. Running around the convention in-Costume
3. Meeting People and making Friends
4. Games, Games, and more Games!
5. Pictures with and of the excellent Cosplayers
6. Being part of the cosplay group during the G4 episode
7. Seeing and meeting several people face-to-face that previously I had only seen on the internet or the media
8. The Giant Inflatable Pikachu
9. Videogame Demos
10. So much free stuff!!
In a nutshell that barely sums it up but this has been one of the best conventions I've ever been to.
I really enjoyed everything as well. I met some fantastic people and got to see a glimpse into the future of gaming. The two panels with Ken Levine were simply fascinating, and probably were the best panels I attended during these two PaxEasts.
Hey Alycat if your avatar matches the costume you wore, saw you a few times and it was an awesome Little Sister costume. You may remember me on the line for raffle ticket and swag bag, you showed me how heavy your adam syringe was and I mentioned how you would be getting one big bicep from carrying it around all day. Party was the best thing, followed by the panel & Bioshock Infinite events, and lastly seeing L.A Noire in action!

Haha, yes, that avatar is of me! And i do remember you from the party!also, i agree, the party was the best thing ever!
The party was great, your costume was especially nice. You may remember you took a picture with a friend of mine towards the end of the open bar time with you stabbing him with the syringe and him freaking out haha.
We can certainly thank Ken/Irrational for the open bar and the amazing atmosphere. I loved every second of it. It was even an added bonus to see CliffyB there.

Oh yes! Of course i remember you guys. I hope i didn't scare him too muchlol!
Seeing L.A. Noire in action was worth the two-hour wait in line, as well as the Bioshock panel. Although, I will say nothing quite tops seeing Alycat stabbing guys with her bigass ADAM needle.

Haha! Well that needle was all thank to my wonderful boyfriend! > http://irrationalgames.com/members/yoyo/
It was so nice meeting you at the partyhope to see you there next year!
I was at the Irrational booth pretty much the whole weekend, and it was a great experience. Meeting all you guys was awesome. Having our unusual lobby location really facilitated the kind of casual chatting with the community that we were hoping for.
And the party was great! There was a nice relaxed atmosphere, and folks seemed to have a good time.
I lived in the booth most of the weekend- I would say my favorite activity became calling cosplayers into the photo set up so I could take fun photos.![]()
Also I got to buy new dice and that was win, that dice booth had such a variety!
Favorite thing at PAX was definitely The Darkness II demo, that was amazing. Also loved the Rage panel....that game...just Blew my Mind....INSANE. And of course The party on saturday night, me and a friend chatted with John (i believe he was either the Lead Programmer or Lead Designer) that was really cool. You guys should throw parties more often
The BioShock Infinite World Building Panel was terrific, very cool to get the thought process behind development of Columbia. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet made me want to get an Xbox the art style was beautifully stylized!

of very very cool! If you could post it, i'd love to see it
I loved knowing that someone else was enjoying what I couldn't. Yes, I'm sad I couldn't go, but I'm happy to see so many people enjoyed most of it.

Yes there is, and if I go def going to learn from this experience and be better prepared. Having a meetup with forum members before a party or event, so everyone their can put a face to a name and meet each other. Then at the event/panel/ or party everyone can bombard Irrational employees in unison.
This was my first PAX, and I definitely enjoyed the people more than anything else. I couldn't see spending 1-2 hours in line just to see snippets of video or demos that I could eventually enjoy in the comfort of my living room. And the swag was decidedly light (what was with every company running out of x-large shirts right away?!).
I was most looking forward to meeting the Irrational team, and they did not disappoint. Ken, Steve, Emily, and Phil were just some of the folks that made a great impression. The other fans at the IG party were also very friendly and fun. I made lots of new friends. Even the general convention-goers were a cut above what I was expecting.
I did manage to attend 4 panels, which were all enjoyable. I've lectured at anime conventions for years, so I tend to be harsh about poorly run panels. But all 4 (IG world creation, PA create a strip, XBOX Live enforcement, Bill Amend) were very impressive. Equal parts informative and entertaining.
All I know for certain is that without the various efforts of IG (party, raffle, mingling w/staff, etc) my enjoyment of PAX would have been a fraction of what it was. Thanks!
I made the brilliant mistake of not looking into available tickets for PAX. I figured I'd set my sights on getting to Boston, check out the scenery, then head over to the convention center early to catch some PAX before the party. Little did I know, it had sold out 4 days prior (cue tuba: wauh wauh waauhhh).
Even though I didn't make it onto the floor, the lobby itself was quite entertaining. The BioShock Infinite booth was a sweet spectacle alone, but then the different cosplayers wandering around provided plenty of entertainment for me while I waited for party time.
Can't wait for PAX next year!

Yes it would definitely be cool to have forum friends identify themselves prior to the party so we can know who's who. I'm game for that should they have another party in the future!

I agree! Though i know the names of the irrational team i had no idea what they looked like! I was horrified when i realized i had taken a picture with Ken earlier that day and didn't even know who he was! it was all like "Kthxbai" and i walked away ;_;
Still can't wait till next year though!! :3
I enjoyed meeting everyone! When I was walking around PAX I met several interesting people; and then I was introduced to a whole new group when I waltzed around as a Little Sister with Delta. Needless to say I had a great time.
