An update about Big Daddy replacements

Hey guys,

I've gotten a lot of questions asking about the Big Daddy replacement program, and I wanted to say that the September 30th is the cut off for when you must ASK to receive your Big Daddy replacement, not the cut off for getting a box. As long as you have registered through that website, you will get a Big Daddy box and replacement, as well as an artbook.

Right now, we are making replacement Big Daddies and getting the artbooks ready for you, and will begin shipping stuff out as soon as they are all ready. This could take several more weeks, but I promise, you will get your Big Daddy and an artbook.

We are serving all the customers who bought the Limited Edition first. I don't even have my own Limited Edition or a Big Daddy yet, and I won't get my hands on artbooks or Big Daddies until you guys are all given your stuff.

So hang tight, and yes, we are working on this!

Is there a way to find out whether our registration for big daddy replacement was registered? I registered it but if I don't get a pre-paid box before september 30th and call 2K and they say my registration wasn't on their system that will be a big trouble~ I just want to make sure that this replacement goes smoothly.

Will you be making those artbooks available to purchase as well? My Big Daddy didn't break, and I'm in Australia so I don't know of another way of obtaining them.

I know there is a downloadable file of sorts, but I'd really like to purchase one of the art books as well.

I'm really on the hunt for Bioshock merchandise!

i'm still waiting for my box here. i put my name in the day the forum opened and its been like a month now and i still havn't gotten any box. Did someone screw up or have they not been shipped out yet?

just wondering, if later in a few months I decide to buy a ultimate version and it comes with a big daddy broken.. that means Im completely.. with no opportunity to get a replacement?

One thing about signing up for the replacement Big Daddy is that you don't even get an acknowledgment email letting you know that your request was received. I think sending out at least an acknowledgment email to the people who signed up would have been a nice courtesy.

I agree, that seems to be the biggest issue I've read on this and previous replacement threads... how do we know that our request was received?

I would however like to add my support for sending out confirmation emails _ signed up but I'd like to know it wasn't lost to the ethernet - which has indeed happened to me.

I came back here to see what the deal with the shipping boxes were, but it looks like the rest of you haven't received a box either. Any idea on when the boxes should be shipping to us?

The closing date is September 30th. Its probably safe to assume that soon after that date is up, if not on that date, they will send mass emails, rather than sending emails now.

That said, its probably a good thing you have posted here now so you'll have made a record here too.

Well i applied for a box the first day the application went up. I can't wait to get it since i've been wanting to show it off, but the broken one stays inside the box until i get the shipping box for the replacement....It's lonely, dark and cold and wants its drill re-attached!

we have finished collecting the data and are making the artbooks, boxes, and big daddies. i am trying to track down the handful of people with incomplete information, but the process IS moving along -- manufacturing everything does take time.
