Security Bots: Deactivate/Re-activate Refreshes Health?

Was just reading about the ins and outs of all things security bot on the Bioshock Wiki site and read that: "A hacked bot can be instantly repaired by deactivating and reactivating it".


Is this accurate? I'd try it myself if I was at home right now, but I'm not.

I went home and tested it out: from a heavily smoking bot (deactivate/reactivate) to a fresh and healthy one. Nice.

However, this useful trick doesn't apply in Bioshock 2 were you need a gene tonic to heal your bots using your EVE. Also if you leave the bots deactivated for too long the constant ticking will speed up and it will eventually explode.
