Naw, I was thinking of a Vigor that could actually rip a hole in space and time. Sucking in any nearby enemies, even Handymen or Him. But that would make it all too easy...

I don't think there will be an Incinerate vigor, only because they said the Vox Populi have Molotov Cocktails so you probably use those to set people on fire

I dunno, Incinerate was kind of a staple of the previous games. I'm not sure if they'd simply replace it with Molotovs. Keep in mind you may not be able to hold onto your abilities like the first 2 games. The cocktails may just be a way of allowing you to have that Vigor without actually "having" that Vigor.

I'm pretty sure there will be an Infinite version of Incinerate. The Molotov Cocktails could still be useful even if you have the fire Vigor though, as you can lob them over cover and stuff, whereas Incinerate would only go forwards.

Now to the point, I have decieded that Irrational should put in a vigor that upon activation will.........instantly turn everything around you into a huge pile of steaming hot poo. Thats right poo, lots and lots of poo. The Vox Populi could be the Vox Poopuli, and their slogan could be "Free poo for everyone!"

I think a type of radar vigor would be awsome.

Not as good as scout but with it's own uses that make it unique. If it had a preview as a plasmid in bioshock it would probaly go somethig like, "Are you tired of having the feeling of being watched or followed by someone unseen in the shadows? Well try our new sonar plasmid and get back at those hiding in the dark."

Or lets be able to combine two vigors. Murder of Crows - combined with incinerate, electro bolt, winter blast - fire/thunder/frost crows flood the area. Bucking Bronco with similar effect - elemental blast tosses enemy upwards. I'd also like to see and upgraded Murder of Crows which just sends in a sweep of crows which carry enemies into the sky, maybe dropping them to their deaths onto other enemies. Now think of a fully upgraded combo, say Murder and Electrobolt, where a murder of crows swoops in and lifts enemies into the air soon after dropping their charged bodies on others, like a human thunderstorm.

whatever the new abilities are they have to be context appropriate. they need to be sensible developments informed by the demands on people living in the kind of city that is columbia. this could be any number of things.

Elastic Punch


What it does: Elastic Punch allows DeWitt to punch an enemy (even a far away one) and stun it for awhile. Increased level allows for a larger punch range and longer stun time. Also you can stun larger enemies.

Oil Blast - Allows you splash boiling hot oil on an enemy.


Oil does multiple things. Primarily it blinds enemies for a very long time when hit . Secondly it doubles all fire damage. Thirdly using it on the ground creates an oil slick that enemies can fall down on. Using it on water allows you to create a fire pool (fire burning on oil, on top of water).

Booker doesn't regen health (no-no-no to the Halo-like hide-until-you're-healthy regen) naturally, but a Nostrum could do it.

The Tell-Tale Heart would allow Booker to see the heartbeat of NPCs through walls, floors, ceilings, etc...


When combined with Elizabeth, Booker could cause NPC hearts in a certain radius to stop beating. Who wants to see concept art for what Booker would see/the hearts stopping would look like?

It is, to my knowledge completely original art(unless someone put something similar to this together prior to last week). The title is obviously pulled from the E.A.Poe short story, but given his contemporary nature to the time period of Infinite, I believe it is appropriate. Thank you very much for the complement!

That is fantastic! I wish I could give you a greater compliment than to say that it is some of the most original fan concept art I've seen in a long time! The idea is fantastic, it ties to the themes of the game and has a useable gameplay mechanic. PLUS, I could imagine it being used by the police or security of Columbia which would tie into the mechanics of how Columbia, as a society, would operate. A lot of the ideas in threads like this miss that point. I can see why though: sure it's a lot of fun to think of a black-hole or tornado vigor or something like that, but it has to be something that would have a practical application within a floating city.

@righteousmight wow, man. thank you so much! i spent some time going through the thread and I found a few other vigors that seem promising- I'll be contacting the authors about doing concept art for the bottles over the next day or so.

Again, thank you so much! I spent a lot of time trying to find something that would be a believable reference to the then-current culture that would also open up new gameplay tactics. Thank you. It means a lot that you appreciated all that!
