I was just wondering how everybody else would feel about a Bioshock Infinite multiplayer? I have heard a few pros and cons to the Multiplayer on Bioshock 2 and was just wondering if anybody else would like a multiplayer in Infinite?

I think it could be interesting but im not sure that the game would move over into multi player too well... at least what ive seen of it...
From what I have seen so far . . .
. . . yes.
Co-op, maybe. Deathmatch etc no.
I'm not sure about multiplayer but I would like co-op. Something like the vid with DeWitt and Liz. One person will have certain powers and the other person will have different ones. So they will have to work together to do more damage or get through a puzzle.
YES, YES, YES!!! A year ago, I could care less about MPs, but now I live for multi-player. I really like the way it was handled in BS2 as side story prequel when Rapture started to break down. The DLC has been fun too. with new trophies and achievements.
I also think it keeps the game relevant with us fanboys longer, because ultimately we'll buy Infinite, beat it that week (or Night), beat it on the insanely hard level the following week...then what?
Multiplayer allows us to enjoy the environment and world a little bit longer. I still play BS2 MP, It's what is giving me my Bioshock fix until Infinite's release...that and these forums.
I really think Rybow73 needs to chime in here, seeing as he used to be ranked #1 across the BS2 leaderboards!
I would love to see multiplayer with more AI components. Perhaps neutral NPC that attack both teams, etc.
No. BioShock 1 did very well without it, and BioShock 2 could've done without it either (not that it was bad).
TAK
I agree... Maybe have one player with some beefy plasmid power but little combat strength and the other player all combat with plasmids that are good on their own but when combined with the others make massive combos. And maybe places where the players are seperated like in Gears of War. So one player covers the other while they activate something or lift an object that's in the way.

I did not like the multi player portion of BioShock2 too much; I played it and will play it from time to time. I agree maybe a co-op version for DeWitt and Elizabeth with achievements.
How about both? Some co op stuff and some typical multiplayer stuff. Maybe even a left for dead style 5 player match. 4 people are normal humans and the final one is a overpowered alpha. Whoever takes out the opposite wins.
No, feels unnecessary to me. Unless it was like what they did with Bioshock 2, had a separate team work on it. (Not sure if that's correct though.)
I'd rather they focus on the single player, where the game truly shines.
If it's going to cut from the singleplayer experience... no thanks
????BS2???????
Definitely ! i must have! Bioshock 2 have its own Multiplayer .. maybe this All will.
~~ YES! for me.
No. Absolutely no way. Wouldn't you rather have an immersive, richly experiences gameplay like BS and an unforgettable long-lasting memory after you've finished the game? i know i would.

I say no. Bioshock 1 was phenomenal without it. I'm a huge multiplayer fan, but to me Bioshock is about a narrative-driven single player experience. I would much rather have the single player be that much stronger than have a multiplayer take away any of the would-be resources.
By taking a look at the job postings i think its smart to assume their will be multiplayer on this game. My only concern is that it needs to set itself apart or people will play it for a few minutes then stop making it worthless. It cant just be team deathmatch because that gets old too quickly. Some objective based games have to be involved in some way. Co-op would also be nice
I WANT MULTIPLAYER!!!!!!
and co-op would be awesome too
I think it all depends on the game. Some games can have a multiplayer and some just can't. I think Bioshock games should not have a multiplayer option because you loose the story line.
...But I like video games to have a plot just like movies. I can't stand shooting just for the sake of shooting...you need to have a reason.
I think it should go the way of the original bioshock no multiplayer. if it works out the sequel should have one if there is one
I'll put it this way, I'm not a big fan of what 2k games did with BS2's multiplayer. However with Irrational games behind a multiplayer experience, the sky is the limit (no pun intended). To be honest i'm not going to be dissapointed if they don't put it in. But if they do put it in and it sucks eggs again, i will so-help-me-God punch a baby.
So to be safe i would say no.
But taking risks is the only way to make progress, all I'm saying is the baby better deliver.
Disclaimer: I would never punch a baby.
No, unless they can masterfully mesh it with single player. I liked the multiplayer offerings in Bioshock 2, but that doesn't mean I was happy it was offered. I'd much rather IG focus all their efforts on crafting an amazing single player experience than split their time between the two.
I don't agree, or understand really your comment about "loosing a storyline" if you add multiplayer. So long as the single player is rock solid, a multiplayer offering can't detract from it. Unless of course the developer of said game had to sacrifice campaign assets (developers) to the multiplayer team. In that instance, I think the campaign could be affected in a detrimental way.

I think as long as it's not a main focus of the game and doesn't take away from the main story, so it's just sort of an add-on then yeah, go for it. It adds more re-playability and is bound to be fun, Bioshock 2 did the multiplayer well i think. I didn't take away from the single player but i've spent a lot of time on it and it's good fun.
must be co-op nothing else
I don't really see what people have against normal multiplayer.
If you don't like it then don't play it.
i think bioshock 2 multiplayer is good but the lobby is a bit slow but its still good
Yes, depending on the circumstances.
no need, there r certain FPS or TPS that dont have mp and they r still great.
Co-op would definitely be cool considering both Booker AND elizabeth can use powers (possibility of co-op attacks?) but deathmatch games and stuff? No.
YES
Bioshock2 Multi could be better tough...
i think that infinite can and can not. Think about it, on a skyline verses another guy online, cool. It does not becouse it will ruin the storymode. The same thing happend to bioshock 2, the story mode did not do a pretty good job. I say no
no
Im pro for multiplayer
I sure as **** hope so, it gave me so much more playtime in BS2 and just made the game more fun.
Seriously, if a multiplayer is made correctly, it can mean huge profits for the company, and happy fans+new fans.
I don't see what people have against multiplayer, if you don't like it don't play, but I don't want to suffer when playing alone loses it's charm, even co-op has a rather limited life span.
I wasn't too happy with BS2's, but I'm willing to give it another go, maybe it'll be better.
I would like a multiplayer as long as it doesn't affect the development of the single player. I will not accept a weak story for Infinite. Bioshock 2 had a lot of hiccups in multiplayer though so if no support goes into it after the game launches I'd prefer it just gets dropped. Co-op would be a nice addition though it would be better if it had a different plot line than the main story.
Honesty, I'm not crazy about Multiplayer game. I am more of a Single Player Campaign so my answer is no.
